Taylor's POV

🎧My kink is karma- Chappell Roan

Jay orders two bottles of champagne, namely dom perignon, at the big eight and the barman genuinely leans in to ask him if he's sure. Jay smirks slightly and nods. An older barman who is used to being asked for a couple of Guinness' and a glass of wine, watches unbelieving as Jay pays for two three hundred dollar bottles of champagne. He's stumped when the card goes through and he extricates two buckets of ice and several champagne flute glasses.

"I'll bring it over, sir" he informs Jay who only laughs.

Rhea and Malachi thank him, Ross scoffs and rules himself out of buying the next round of champagne. I giggle and we all take a seat on a collection of sofas. The guys settle in opposite myself and Rhea as she pulls my gaze away from Jay briefly and smiles.

"So tell me what's got your drink on?" Rhea asks sighing, as she holds onto my hands. The barman pops the cork and serves the drinks, I take mine and mouth a thankyou to Jay, he smiles genuinely before talking to Ross again.

"My drink is on when the champagne tastes like this" I tell her laughing and she agrees.

"Honestly though..." I begin and she waits.

"I don't know where to even begin. Can we start with you and how your life is going?" I laugh and she shakes her head.

"Not a chance" she sighs shushing me.

"You have one devoted fiancée, a cute English student who worships the ground you walk on, and well mr southern who just bought you $600 worth of champagne. That's an interesting predicament and I would like to know all about it" she laughs and I shh her.

"He bought us the champagne" I explain gazing up at him briefly his blonde hair pulled back, the blazer draped over the side of the sofa and his shirt sleeves rolled up.

"The devoted fiancée won't even wake up next to me in bed, he stops our kisses continually and I might have brazenly asked him to impregnate me again" I say facing her entirely as she flinches slightly.

"Whatever possessed me to ask that of him again I'm not sure." I sigh and she rubs my arm.

"We haven't had sex for a while" I explain and she nods thinking.

"Maybe it's a rough patch, like he's processing what's going on. And working out how to manage his feelings about it." She contemplates.

"I told him that I can't be in a relationship that he isn't even present in. This morning I woke up and I needed him, he was downstairs drinking brandy before nine am" I explain and she gasps.

"I'm worried that I'm going to find him passed out" I say to her.

"That's a whole deal" she says softly.

"Mr southern told me he loves me" I blurt out and she looks at me absolutely stumped. Before speaking she sips some more champagne.

"The actual, when did this happen" she asks.

"A few days ago" I explain.

"He told me he was in love with me, and that he wanted me every morning and night. He spent over three hours telling me jokes in the coffee shop today so I didn't sit around crying over my life" I laugh and she shakes her head.
