Jays POV
It could have been the sweetest sound I have ever heard, Taylor yielding to me and whimpering in my ear. I follow her back into the crowd, irate yet at the same time totally consumed by her. Needing her close to me again, right away.
Taylor is annoyed at me, I'm sure that she thinks I was just trying to play her just now, the problem is I'm not the one playing her, she is the one playing games with me.
I see her slim frame just ahead, she is quick when she wants to run off. I stride over to her like my life depends on making things up to her, yet again. Grasping onto her hand again she stops. I pull her body close to mine, scooping her up in my arms and turning her around. Feeling her engagement ring and knowing that if I so chose too I could put a bigger and better one of those on her finger.
"That is too bad Taylor" I tell her as she sulks.
"I'm not going to just let you walk off in utterly the wrong direction" I smile.
"You're a dickhead" she snaps at me. I mean she isn't wrong.
"I'm a dickhead because I like you right? I don't see Ross getting called a dickhead for stroking your arms and holding onto you" I say rising to her.
"Jay" she whispers shocked.
"Did you just say that you liked me" she sighs.
"Oh stop it, isn't it obvious" I laugh as she watches me, intrigued.
"It's totally not obvious when you continually wind me up" she laughs back and I chuckle.
"Sorry for being a dickhead" I whisper when she just stares at me confused, truthfully I am just as confused as her. At my constant retorts and the roundabouts in our conversations. Normally if I kissed a girl and she acted like this, I would just move on.
"You're forgiven" she smiles holding onto my hand. I watch her briefly and she holds my stare waiting for my instructions.
"Fucks sake" I say to her pulling her in the opposite direction again as she chuckles, yielding to me.
"Just so you know" I stand behind her, my mouth by her ear.
"I will not be retrieving you again and putting you in the right direction" I smile.
"Okay" she laughs and I feel her chuckling as my hand rests on her bare tummy.
"And" I whisper feeling her breathe in again, sharply.
"I more than like you" I whisper as I guide her back towards the bar. Men stare at her and I find myself wanting to hit out at them."Where do you stand with that" I ask her, treading lightly.
"Jay" she smiles, I love it, the way she says my name. She caresses it with her soft voice and I need to make her call it out in bed, it's my one ambition.
"Taylor" I smile whispering to her when she doesn't finish her sentence and it drives me wild.
"I think you're a much better guy than you realise" she says softly and I stop her in the middle of the crowd. Turning to face me slowly, she watches me. Waiting on my every move.
"This moment right here" I whisper to her, my hand brushing her cheek as I look down into her eyes. She looks up at me through her lashes.
"This little moment between you and I" I whisper and she smiles. I've never charmed a woman like this before. Gently, softly and with care. I stroke her cheek back, and she sighs. My hand holding onto her jaw.
"Should stay between us" I smile, stroking her hair back I kiss her lightly. She parts her lips I am sure of it, opening her eyes again I look into them and sigh.
"You should be mine" I whisper pulling away, turning her around and taking charge I guide her back in the direction of Matthew and hope that I can withdraw myself from kissing her again.
"Jay" she whispers, does she not realise that this is taking all of my resolve.
"Yes Taylor" I say in her ear.
"Can you stay like this from now on" she whispers tipsily.
"Nice and like yourself rather than cold and argumentative" she laughs resting her head briefly in my chest.
"I'll do my best how's that" I say chuckling.
"Oh hey" I smirk, holding her into me. She's slightly more drunk than I had realised.
"Two o clock burning a whole into me with his stare. Your man" I tell her. She glances up at me smirking and I beg her to behave. We reach the others and Rachel gives me her best glare.
"Found her traipsing around on the dance floor getting hit on. Unable to fend for herself Matthew" I say and she scoffs.
"He told a guy to fuck off" she laughs remembering the brunette guy on the dance floor.
"Taylor you are off your face I love it" Rachel laughs and I smirk looking down at her.
"Did you see his dancing though" Taylor grins and I smirk at her.
"I was looking for you, here" she says to Matthew handing him a warm jack and coke. He nods to me as she pulls herself around him, breaking all of his tension as she kisses his neck and ruffles his hair.
"Jay" Rachel begins and I tell myself to stop staring at Taylor. Focus Jay.
"Can we, you know later" she asks and I brush my hair back ordering a brandy from the bar.
"You know what." She smirks watching me as I look around for the big blonde bear and find him missing. I position myself behind Rachel, facing Taylor who is being embraced by Matthew from behind. She watches me inquisitively, and altogether differently than she used to.
"Of course" I say to her as Taylor watches me hungrily. I wink at Taylor as Matthew rolls his eyes and holds her possessively.
