Giving in to Temptation

Chapter 17

'Oh no Lizzie what are you up to?' Josie thinks because the look on her twin's face can't mean anything good.

Lizzie knows she already asked the auburnette this question but she doesn't like when her twin is sad so she just wants to make sure she gets the truth.

"Do you like girls?" She asks and narrows her eyes at the woman to catch any signs of a lie.

Josie would say she's surprised but she's not because it's Lizzie. So she leans into the blonde while all the boys whoop and cheer excited to hear an answer."what are you doing??" She whispers.

"Getting answers." Lizzie mutters.

Josie openly glares at Lizzie,'she might be closeted!' She then turned toward the auburnette,"You don't have to answer that Hope."

Hope chuckles, tapping her shot glass a couple times, and it looks like she's debating on answering the question.

Josie's intrigued now but she tries to hide it. "Unless you're comfortable with it." she adds.

Hope bit her bottom lip before finally setting the shot glass down. "I do find some women attractive yes." She fiddles with the rings on her fingers,"In fact I dated a girl once."

Josie's mouth falls open and so does Lizzie's. While the guys all raise their shot glasses,"Cheers to that."

Josie doesn't know how to feel, she's shocked for sure, another emotion like joy erupts inside but it doesn't show.

Lizzie stood up abruptly,"What? But I asked you the same question earlier and you said no." She says folding her arms because she wants an explanation.

Hope's lips form a tight line before she makes eye contact with the blonde."I only said no because I thought you were hitting on me.. and I didn't want to hurt your feelings because you're not really my type." Hope says and she played with her rings again.

Lizzie scoffed while some of the guys cackled. She knows Hope had already said this but it felt like a slap in the face for some reason when she doesn't even see shorty like that. "I'll have you know that I'm hot." She replies instead, pointing to herself while glaring at the auburnette.

Josie knows that response hurt her twin's ego but she doesn't get to think about that. All she can think about is the news she just got.

'I still have a chance.' She thinks happily and a smile sits on her face, probably a permanent one that will be there all night.

"You are very beautiful Lizzie." Hope says because she doesn't want to upset the blonde more than she feels like she has. "Honestly anyone would kill to have a chance with you.. just not me." She moved her eyes elsewhere because this is starting to feel awkward.

Josie chuckles because Hope is really deflating Lizzie's ego.'This night isn't that bad after all.' She thinks practically beaming at the information.

"Wait you said that you've dated a girl before? When was this?" Landon asks, his eyes swimming with interest and jealousy? Josie lifted a brow at his questions.

Hope tilted her head back and forth."About two years ago." She answers his question.

Josie studied Hope closely and watched the girl play with her rings yet again,"actually uh it was more of a friends with benefits kind of relationship but it only lasted about two weeks."
