Giving in to Temptation

Chapter 13

(After class)

"Very good report Ms.Saltzman." Her professor says,"This report isn't due until the end of this month though." The grey haired old woman says to the brunette.

Josie puts her books into her backpack,"I like to get a jump on things." She says throwing it over her shoulder."It makes things easier." She adds before waving the woman goodbye and walking outside the classroom.

She checks her watch as she walks down the hall,'Hope should be out in five minutes.' She thinks, glad that she took the time after class to write a report since Hope's class doesn't get out until an hour after her own.

She pulls out her phone, finally remembering that she should text her twin and not call her since she's worried that she will hear something she doesn't want to.

Josie: I need help.

Lizzie: with?

Josie: Hope. I don't know her sexuality yet and I'm scared to bring it up but I want to ask her on a date and get closer to her as more than friends but I can't until I'm sure

Lizzie: One, your pining is showing. Two, I'm pretty sure red head is just a little gay, my gayometer was beeping a few times. Three, I'll do some digging and let you know what I come up with 🫡

Josie shakes her head at the blonde's response before tucking her phone into her pocket. 'I hope she doesn't go overboard.'

She gets to Hope's classroom at the same time as the bell rings, signaling that class has ended.

She stands about five feet away from the door, hands securing her book that's held against her chest, as she watches the students pour out of Hope's classroom.

Auburn hair comes into view finally and it's doesn't take long for Hope to see the brunette.

Josie watched auburn hair bounce lightly as the woman approached her."Hey Dr.Saltzman, I hope your favorite patient didn't keep you waiting too long." She teases, looking at the woman's scrubs.

Josie chuckled softly,"not at all," she then decided to play along,"and you're my only patient which means there is an open door policy for you."

Hope quirked at brow at the response and an amused smile stretches her lips.

Josie face palmed herself after she heard the words leave her mouth. 'Great word play jo.'

Hope ends up chuckling,"wow Dr.Saltzman," she starts walking and taps the brunettes arm to get her to follow,"I must be real special."

Josie groans,'you have no idea.' She then removes her hand from her face and decided to switch topics."Do you want to study?"

Hope starts laughing again and Josie's face reddens,"In the library!" She says knowing what the auburnette is thinking."Where other people can see!" She adds making things worse.

Hope's laughter only gets more intense and she stops walking to lean on a nearby wall to balance herself.

Josie sighs,"oh god," she says rubbing her face to remove her blush,"I'm talking about doing homework Hope, just homework."

Hope nods as she gains control of her breathing, she exhaled deeply before looking at the brunette. Her cheeks are pink from exasperation and she wiped a couple of tears from her eyes."okay," she says,"we can go study." She giggles a little afterward.

Josie rubs her left temple,'I am never going to live that down.'
