Giving in to Temptation

Chapter 23

Josie watched the auburnette but it doesn't seem like she will get anything out of the woman so she just turns on the music and looks out the window.

She gets lost in her thoughts.'Should I talk to Lizzie? Mom? Elena? Maybe I should just confront Landon and tell him I want Hope.'

She facepalmed herself inwardly.'Like that will work, it looks like he wants her just as bad as I do.'

She puts her head on the window as she watched the light change.'That wouldn't do anything. I really don't want to make this a competition, even if I did I'm sure he wouldn't back down.'

She breaks out of her thoughts when she feels a hand on her thigh. Trying to ignore it, she keeps her gaze outside the window because she believes it's just an innocent touch but her thoughts don't.

'I need to take a cold shower.'

She felt Hope squeeze her thigh before saying,"You've been quiet jo."

Josie takes a controlled breath because Hope doesn't move her hand, she doesn't necessarily want her to.. well she wants the auburnette to move up.

'Cold shower, cold shower, cold shower.'

"I-uhm." She stutters because Hope's hand is distracting her.

She clears her throat getting it together, barely."I was just wondering, when did he ask you out?" She asks referring to Landon and she turns to face the girl so she can gauge her reaction.

Hope's eyebrows crease in thought,"He ran into me when I was jogging this morning. Turns out he goes on morning jogs as well."

Josie's mouth forms a line because now she's upset not sad. She missed her chance all because he got to her sooner somehow. Now she knows why Hope was talking about thinking. 'I should have fucking said no.'

She blows the air out of her mouth, "I didn't know that." She replies looking at the hand on her thigh.

Hope side glances the brunette and she saw her staring at her hand and she blushed as she moved it back to the steering wheel."Sorry," she says tapping the wheel,"I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

Josie didn't like the removal,"you didn't make me uncomfortable. I really didn't mind." She replies quickly.

"Oh okay." Hope says sheepishly, her fingers still tapping the wheel and Josie loves it when Hope gets shy.

"You can put your hand back if you want to." She says, a smile tugging her lips as Hope's cheeks get darker.

"Oh," she chuckles nervously, the fingers on her right hand twitch on the steering wheel before she timidly reaches out again.

Josie chuckles and grabs Hope's hand, setting it on her thigh and she rests her hand on Hope's to keep it there.

Josie didn't think Hope can turn any redder, she thinks the woman is too adorable.'She's just so damn cute. I just want to kiss her.'

Josie bites her bottom lip as her eyes zero in on Hope's pink lips.

Hope is too focused on the road to notice the brunettes intense gaze. She does feel it though and when they get to a red light she turned her attention the brunette who seems distracted.

"Is there something on my face?" She asks using her free hand to rub her chin.

'I wish I was.' A blush creeps up Josie's neck and face as she blinks back into reality and gains some composure.

"No no sorry I was day dreaming." She says scratching her head.'Stop being horny!' She scorns herself.

"About what?" Hope asks and the light turned green so her eyes refocus on the road.
