Giving in to Temptation

Chapter 32 "She kissed you!?!"

Josie eventually got her feet to work after standing outside her door for who knows how long.

It must have been a while though because Hope's perfume that usually lingers in the air after she's gone-is starting to fade.

She turns the door knob of her room and walks inside, her mind is blissfully blank. She doesn't even check her surroundings she just walks over to her bed and sits on it.

"jo?" Lizzie asks as she watches her sister move like a zombie. Her skin is the same color as a tomato, her eyebrows are creased, and her eyes are wide.

She then gasps and starts clapping,"You kissed her!" She says proudly.

Josie moves her head back and forth slowly, the ghost of Hope's lips on her skin burns in the best way.

Her palms are sweaty and a pleasant yet searing heat is taking refuge in her stomach.

A frown met Lizzie's brow."Then why are you-" She gasped and her eyes grew even wider in realization,"SHE kissed you!?!?"

Josie's eyes finally met her twin's and her red painted cheeks gave it away,"Kind of."

A surprised smile made its way onto Lizzie's face as she made her way onto the brunettes bed."What do you mean kind of?"

"I mean she kissed the corner of my lips." She says bringing her fingers to the spot. She then sighs,"I should have kissed her but I got scared last second and gave her a kiss on the forehead."

Lizzie shook her head at the woman's response,"Why didn't you? Was the vibe there? Did she want to kiss you? I mean clearly she did because she initiated something."

"I don't know." She says, her face still tingling,"it was a great night and I know she was setting me up Lizzie, I know she was," She groans slapping her forehead at another missed opportunity."I should have kissed her."

"I'm not too sure that that should have even happened."Lizzie says, and Josie cocked her head in confusion at the blondes response."why?" She questioned.

"Because look at how you're reacting just from almost being kissed,"Lizzie evaluated her sister's appearance and expression,"You're all fidgety and your skin is flushed, you look disheveled," Her face then twists in disgust,"Ewww are you horny?" She asks already making her way back to her own bed.

Josie's skin pebbled with goosebumps and another brush of heat found her skin at the accusation,"What!? No." She lies, terribly.

Lizzie's mouth formed a line, not convinced, "Yeah sure jo. Whatever fantasies you're having about shorty please take pleasure in them when I'm not present." She says getting under her blankets.

"That's not what I was doing." She replies quickly.

"Sure." Lizzie drawls out.

Josie huffs, cheeks and ears burning in embarrassment,"Whatever," she then stands and begins searching for clothing,"Oh and Landon showed up." She says almost forgetting about him.

Lizzie's eyebrows snapped together."What was Frodo doing there?"

Josie groans shaking her head,"Trying to crash the party. He told me that he knows I like Hope and that he does too so he's still going to pursue her even if I do."
