(Selena's POV)
The moment Leonardo found out everything he left the house. Everyone called him yet no one reached his number. Zamira even ordered some of her people to quietly look around for him. Twenty two hours have passed and we cannot make an official complaint at the police—not that if we could we would of course because. . . it's the police and he is the complete opposite of righteous. Alice has locked herself in her room and only came outside when we were going to the hospital although we all know we won't receive any news since it's only been a few hours.
She doesn't talk to me. I tried twice and she avoided me. Everyone hated me but now they aren't bothering to hide it or maintain a calm level. They all glance at me with hatred and even respond that way whenever I try to talk. Not that I tried much but I figured that since everyone else is messed up and I cried all night, I need now to collect myself and let them mourn their friend. I can't even think of the possibility of real mourning. That I wish not to believe. Alice, Sarah, Tristan, Kelian and Zamira left firstly so that we have no fight between us.
While Damian, Derek, Alise and are making our way there now. Mente decided to stay home and inform us incase Leonardo comes back. It wasn't a good idea since Leonardo isn't right on his head at the moment, he may kill Mente and I did inform him yet he insisted so I had no force in me to argue and simply allowed him. Damian glances at me one two three times, asking me whether I am alright, I respond with a nod. Derek and Alise do the same and I respond just the same way. I cannot come up with words that explain I'm alright because I'm not.
Am I fine? No. Will I keep my mouth shut because the world isn't all revolved around me right now? Yes, yes I will.
Damian grabs his phone as it rings and his look changes from expressionless to filled with confusion. He hangs up the phone and turns at us. "That Diaz guy isn't in hospital."
"What?" Alise shouts out our thoughts.
"Yes, they say he left this morning. Someone transferred him else where and somehow the hospital allowed it. The doctor said he was still in a critical condition but he was safely moved from the hospital so therefore he won't be facing any consequences." Yeah, right.
"Whoever has moved him has moved him just for that reason exactly." I speak.
"Weren't cops around the building though? Zamira said—"
"Money can do everything." I respond.
"That guy's last name is Diaz? Isn't that Zamira's last name? Why do they have the same last name?" Derek turns at me. "Are you cousins with that guy?"
I shake my head. "The last name Diaz is very common in Italy. Zamira explained that when her parents moved there they did everything to change their identities since it was back at the time where foreigners weren't much loved there so they simply chose a new one and that's Diaz."
Alise nods.
"So they aren't cousins and you. . . aren't rich?" Derek blinks.
I shake my head.
He lowers his in disappointment.
Derek is really something else. In this time that I have come close with those guys he really is a mode lighter. No matter what situation he maintains his character and doesn't let anything affect him. I'm surely he is scared right now but he is very good at hiding it. Or maybe he just is like that. . . they all have no reason to care for him. I'm just glad they aren't showing it though and are sticking with me right now that I really need someone. Nonetheless even if they didn't wish to help me, they would because in the end of the day. . . they are cops. Justice runs in their blood and we all know. . . this whole thing. . . is injustice to its finest level.
