When Steve opened the door, he was met with a very enthusiastic and party ready Tommy and Carol. Jenna stayed put on the couch and scowled just from hearing their voices.
"Hey Harrington," Tommy patted Steve on the back, "Where's the beer, man? I'm extremely parched."
"Uhhh, I'll go get it, it's in the fridge," Steve replied.
"Well, while you get that, I'm gonna make myself at home and chillax near the pool. Oh, hey Freaky Henderson. Forgot you were coming," He tilted his head at her, sending an eerie smirk her way.
"Ah, if it isn't the great and glorious Touchy Tommy with his sidekick Crass Carol."
"What the fuck does 'crass' even mean? Is it even a real word?" Carol questioned.
"That question is exactly why I called your ass crass."
"Alright, alright," Steve intervened, "Tommy and Carol. You guys can head out back and get comfortable, I need to talk with Jenna for a sec."
"That works for me Harrington," Tommy saluted.
Jenna rolled her eyes as the two horny teens went to the back porch while flirting their brains out with one another. At that moment, Jenna wanted to just leave. She didn't want to deal with Tommy's stupid self . Instead, she went to her car to grab her book and refrained from driving off right then and there. Right as she closed the car door with her book in hand, Nancy and Barb walked up the driveway and scared the startled Jenna.
"Where the fuck did you two come from!?" She asked them with wide, frantic eyes.
"This one," Barb said while pointing to Nancy, "made us park a couple blocks away because she was scared we'd get caught."
"Well, that's really lame Nance. No one gives a flying fuck. For all the neighbors know this is a stupid study group that may or may not be doing drugs. How the hell would they know?" Jenna shrugged at Nancy.
"Well, on a different note," Nancy bit her lip as he eyes flickered between Jenna and Steve's house, "Let's go inside before I get more anxious than I already am."
The three girls walked up to the door and before Jenna could open it for them, Steve flung it open from the inside, revealing him standing there with his award-winning, shit-eating grin.
"Hello, ladies," He flirted.
The night had officially started.

Everyone was gathered on the back patio. Tommy and Carol were walking and messing around near the pool while everyone else was either sitting on a beach chair or the ground. Jenna sat on the chair furthest from the pool in case Tommy or Carol fell in so she wouldn't get her book she was reading or herself wet. Nancy was giving Steve the biggest goo-goo eyes one could give while Barb sat there questioning why she even came in the first place.
"Hey, nerdy ass," Tommy yelled at Jenna, "Why read when you could have fun doing, like, anything else? You're at a party, stop studying."
"For me, this is fun," She turned to the next page, "I mean, what's more fun than reading porn? Definitely not whatever you're doing. Now leave me alone."
"What's the fun in that, Henderson?"
That particular statement gave Jenna flashbacks to the first real encounter that she had with Tommy about a year prior.
'Hey, look at her.'
'She could be hot, if she wasn't so much of a freak!'
'Or fat!'
'Hahahahahaha!'
'I heard that you know.'
'So? Being nice would be lying and what's the fun in that, Henderson?'
That was back when Steve first became friends with Tommy. Jenna had just gone up to Steve to make sure that their movie night plans were set. While she was leaving, that's the conversation she overheard between Tommy and some of his other friends. From that point on, any time he'd seen her, he would find some insecurity to pick fun at, especially her weight. Jenna wasn't overweight and especially not unhealthy, but those kind of comments started to eat away at her slowly to the point where she started wearing baggier clothes and was eating less. It wasn't until the start of the school year that she began to have healthy eating habits again along with more confidence in her fashion. That's also when she officially decided to pick fights with Tommy whenever he acted out towards her. She wanted to show him that she wasn't weak and wouldn't be pushed around; especially by his piece of shit ass.
