"Ugh! Steve, what am I going to do with Alice?" Robin was venting to Steve while they were working. "I mean, I screwed shit up last night with her. She thinks I have a crush on Vickie and it totally looked like I was flirting with her last night. AND I got a ride home with Vickie. I'm digging myself into a hole, Steve. A deep, shitty hole!"
"Alright, just calm down," Steve hated being in the middle of Alice and Robin's drama. "As I've tried to tell you before, be honest with her."
"It's a lot harder than just that, Steve. I really like her."
"More than Muppet girl?"
"Way more than Muppet girl."
"Well, I can't force you to do anything."
"I'm hopeless."
"Eh, we both are."

"If only we could just, like, combine."
"Yeah, like you'd wanna deal with the pain of having the love of your life and best friend die."
"That's not what I-"
"I saw what you were getting at, but your problems can be solved, mine can't. Unless you could bring someone back from the dead."
Robin kind of just stood next to Steve not knowing what else to say. He hadn't been the same since Jenna died. Everyone else, at some point, had gotten their normal selves back, but Steve always felt off. He'd always rope Jenna into the conversation and he'd spiral back into his same sad self. It was an endless cycle. And if anyone else brought her up, it was game over.

"Hey, bitches!" Alice burst through the doors, "Have we found our morning movie yet?"
"I was thinking..." Robin started to say then Alice and her both said the exact same title at the same time.
"Doctor Zhivago!"
"Jinx!" Alice pointed at Robin and smiled, "You owe me... I don't know yet actually."
"Guys, you know I don't do double VHS," Steve whined as he walked over to them.
"But it's about doomed love," Robin pointed out.
"Relatable for everyone here, I guess," Steve mumbled.
"Also," Alice started following Steve with the VHS, "Julie Christie is b-b-bonkers hot in it."
"Yeah, she's, like, the most beautiful creature I have seen in my life," Robin agreed.

Robin clicked on the TV to be met with the news. It was about a murder at the Forest Hills trailer park where Max and Eddie both lived. There was a body of a Hawkins High student found at one of the trailers that morning.
"Holy shit," Steve muttered.
"Who was it?" Alice asked.
Steve took a step back from the TV and sat himself on the floor. It was giving him flashbacks to when he was told Jenna and Hopper didn't make it out. Luckily, Alice and Robin noticed Steve shaking on the floor and just sat with him until he calmed down.
"This better not be more supernatural shit," He shook his head.
"Don't jump to conclusions," Alice told him, "We'll find out eventually."

Also watching the news was Dustin and his mom.
"My heart can't take it anymore," Mrs. Henderson was crying and petting Leila, "I just can't. First Barb, then Bob, then my baby girl! I can't take it, Dusty."
Before Dustin could reply, their doorbell rang. He got up and greeting him was Max.

"Chrissy Cunningham?" They had started discussing the inside scoop in Dustin's room, and Dustin had questions. "You're sure it was Chrissy?"
"Yes," Max replied, "she was in her cheerleader outfit. Same thing she was in when I saw her with Eddie."
"Did you tell all of this to the cops?"
"No. No, but I-I can't be the only one who saw them together. I mean, they stood out."
"Eddie the freak with Chrissy the cheerleader?"
"Exactly. You know, his name's not in the news yet or anything, but I guarantee you Eddie is suspect number one right now."

"That's crazy. Eddie didn't do this. No way. No way!"
"Well, we can't rule it out."
"Yes, we can."
"Dustin!"
"You don't know him like I do, Max. Okay? When we got to high school, Lucas made all his sports friends, Mike and me? I mean, no one was nice to us. No one except Eddie."
"Okay, well they said the same shit about Ted Bundy. Yeah, he's a super nice guy, but then he's murdering women on the weekend."
"So you're saying Eddie is like Ted Bundy?"
