Steve sat up to find himself laying in a field of flowers. There was a slight breeze, the sky had just a sprinkling of clouds, and the temperature was just right. In the distance he saw a figure running towards him, though he couldn't quite make out who.

"What are you doing, dingus?" The person yelled over as they ran up to him. The person was now close enough that he could make out who it was.
Jenna.

"Well," She ran right up to him, "aren't you ready for our date?"
He looked up at her, completely baffled.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" She giggled slightly.
"I thought you were dead," He told her.
"Does it look like I am, Stevie? Come on, I set up a picnic."

She held her hand out to help him stand up. He took it, graciously, and got suddenly dragged with Jenna.
"Why are you pulling me?"
"Because you're soooooo slow!"

They ran through the stunning field, hand in hand, laughing like nothing had changed. He watched her in awe as she laughed perfectly and floated through the field with her dress gliding gracefully behind her as she ran. He'd never seen anyone as perfect as her. They started to approach a tree covered in flowers with a blanket and basket placed underneath it.
"And we've arrived!"
Jenna pulled Steve down with her as she collapsed on the soft blanket.
"God, I could just stay here forever..." She whispered as she looked up at the flowers in the tree.
Steve propped himself up on one elbow and just looked at her.
"Yeah, I could too."

Jenna snapped out of her daze and looked over at her boyfriend.
"You are so cheesy."
"I know. It's why you love me."
"Yeah, it is. You caught me."

Steve's whole world felt perfect as he stared at all of her features, scanning them over and over as he could never get enough of her. That was until Jenna's face started to contort weirdly.
"Hey, what's wrong, Jen?"
"Um- I, uh... I have to go now."
"But we haven't even eaten anything-"
"Just wake the fuck up, Steve," She suddenly got serious, "We both know this is just a dream."
"But-"
"Steve, I love you, you know I do, but you have to get up to go to that pep rally with Robin. Okay? I'll see you again. I promise. Remember how I promised you a kiss when I got back? I'll make that promise soon. I'll be back again,"
She leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek, then whispered in his ear, "Time to go now..."

BEEP!

Steve jumped at the sound of his alarm. He smashed his fist down on it and sat on the edge of his bed thinking. He'd been having the same type of dream almost every night since Jenna died. It was really weird. It was also weird how it always happened right before he had to get up and how his radio would change from his mixtape to Hounds of Love by Kate Bush, even though it had just come out recently. He turned off his radio in annoyance.

He shook the weird thought out of his head and got ready for his day. He had to drive to pick up Robin for a pep rally at the school where he was also going with his new girlfriend who wasn't really his girlfriend, but just someone to help distract him. Alice had been trying to help him move on, and it got to the point where he was just pretending so she'd stop bugging him.

After he gotten dressed and ate breakfast, he headed out the door to go get Robin. It had taken him months, but he finally got back to having a normal eating routine. After Robin had noticed him losing too much weight, she started to have Alice manage his meals and it'd been working for the past two months. As he got in the car, he decided to put on Jenna's music for a change and Super Freak just so happened to turn on. He drove for a few minutes till he pulled into Robin's driveway. She ran to the car with a handful of makeup and other random stuff spilling out of her arms because she had been running late.
