BEEP!

Fuck...

BE...

How'd it turn off?

Jenna opened her eyes to find she was in Steve's bed, nestled into his side and he was the one who had turned off the alarm.
"Time for school already?" She groaned.
"Unfortunately," He replied while getting up, grabbing a bag, and throwing it at Jenna, "Get ready. We have to pick up Nancy. She's gonna help me with my essay."
"Cool," Jenna snatched the bag from him and walked to Steve's bathroom. She always kept a bag of clothes and general day-to-day supplies at his house for when they had movie nights or she stayed over. In the bag, she had an AC/DC shirt that she'd stolen from Steve, jeans, and some socks. She got changed and went back to Steve's room to put on her jacket.

Ever since Steve had given her his old jacket for Christmas, she refused to wear anything else. It was special and stylish and went with everything, which provided her the perfect excuse to pair it with anything and everything. She ran downstairs to grab a quick bite to eat before school and found Steve doing the same. Steve quickly made some toast while Jenna grabbed a box of Froot Loops from the cupboard and dumped some straight into her mouth.
"Alright, let's go!" Steve shouted on his way out the door.
"Let me grab my mixtape from my car," Jenna told him, "Your music sucks."
He rolled his eyes while she popped her tape out of her player and hopped into the passenger's seat of his car. She immediately put her tape in so she didn't have to listen to his horrendous shit. Her glorious theme, Super Freak, blasted through his speakers, causing Jenna to sing along on their journey to the Wheeler's. Steve subtly glanced over at her a few times, smirking to himself.
She's so cute when she's listening to her music.

Nancy came barreling down her driveway, hopping right into Steve's backseat.
"Hey guys," She greeted the two while leaning over the center counsel to give Steve a kiss.
"Sup, Nancy," Jenna smiled at her best gal pal, "How's it goin'?"
"Fine," She shrugged, "So, are you helping Steve with his essay, too, or no?"
"Wasn't planning on it, but I can if you'd like."
"I think I've got it, Jen. I just wanted to check."
"Cool. I think I'll just sit on the hood while you guys talk it through. If you need me at all, just tap on the windshield."
They pulled into the school soon after and Jenna did just what she said. She laid down on the hood of the car with her book in hand.

Not too long after they pulled in and Jenna started to get comfortable, a Camaro flew into the parking lot and parked almost right next to Steve's car. A younger girl with fiery-red hair got out along with a guy around Jenna's age who had blonde hair. He was also wearing head-to-toe denim. The girl jumped on her skateboard and rode over to the middle school while the guy started to catch every single girl in the school's attention. He winked at most of them. Out of curiosity, Steve and Nancy both got out of the car and observed.
"Hey, Sweet Cakes," The guy approached Jenna.
Jenna started to look around to figure out who he was talking to, but when she looked back at him, he was looking straight at her with a smirk on his lips. She pointed to herself causing the guy to laugh and get even closer to the car.

"Hey," He said in the standard douchebag tone, "I'm Billy. Billy Hargrove."
"And?" Jenna raised an eyebrow at him.
"And... I was wondering if you knew any good spots here around town. I just moved here, you see, and don't really know the place that well. You seem like the perfect gal to show a guy around."
"I'll pass," She looked back down at her book.
"And why's that?" He tilted his head questioningly.
"Well, I'm sure most people around here would be happy to do that, so there are plenty of other options. I don't really go out much, so I'm not the person to ask," She told Billy without looking up from her book once.
"Could you at least tell me your name? It's the least I ask."
"Jenna," She glanced up for a moment, "Jenna Henderson. Now go fuck around with someone else, I'm not interested in showing you around or in you."
"We'll see about that, Jenna Henderson." He winked before turning around and sauntering down to the school.
