"STEVE!"
Robin was out working and dealing with Erica while Steve, Jenna, Dustin, and Alice worked on decoding
the Russian message. Alice had come in to visit because it was her break and she was bored out of her mind. She was really happy with her timing.
"I can't understand the full thing," Jenna shook her head.
"How could you not? You know Russian!," Dustin huffed out of frustration.
"She hasn't used her translating skills in years, dumbass," Alice rolled her eyes and continued to munch on her food.
"I'm getting... Silver cat... China... tread lightly. I think the first part is about blue and yellow, but I can't tell. Does someone want to try the rest from the book?"
"I would," Alice said with a mouthful of noodles, "But I only know French. And I don't even know it that well."
"Steve," Jenna looked at her best friend, "You got any ideas?"

"It sounded familiar," He nodded while popping a piece of banana in his mouth, sitting down next to Jenna as he did so.
"What?" Dustin looked at him, shocked.
"The music," Steve elaborated, "The music right there at the end."
"Why are you listening to the music, Steve?" Alice threw a piece of chicken at him, "You're supposed to listen to the Russian, idiot."
"I'm trying to listen to the Russian!" He snapped, "Hey, give me my banana back!"
Jenna snatched his banana from him and took a giant bite out of it before handing it back to Steve.
"Alright," Robin burst through the door, "Babysitting time is over. You need to get in there," She looked over at what used to be the 'You Suck/You Rule' board to find Russian symbols scattered across it, "Hey, my board! That was important data, shitbirds."

"I guarantee you, what we're doing is way more important than your data," Dustin rolled his eyes before looking at his sister, "Hey, what the hell is going on over there?"
Her and Steve had been taking turns munching on the banana and it was apparently very irritating to her brother.
"Sorry," She threw the banana peel onto the table and raised her hands in surrender.
Robin rolled her eyes and continued, "How do you guys know these Russians are up to no good anyways?"
Steve and Dustin looked at each other, panicked.
"How does she know about the Russians?" Dustin whispered.
"I don't know," Steve whispered back.
"You told her about-"
"It wasn't me."

"Guys," Alice yelled, "She's not def. She could hear us through the glass."
"I'm so glad that not everyone here is a complete idiot," She nodded at Alice, "Yes, I can hear through the glass. Actually, I can hear everything. You two," She motioned between the two boys, "Are both extremely loud. You think you have evil Russians plotting against our country, on tape, and you're trying to translate, but only have Jenna who—for some reason—knows Russian, but not well. Sound about right?"

"You are spot on, my fellow band nerd," Jenna confirmed.
Robin started to reach for the tape recorder, but Steve pulled it away before she could grab it.
"Whoa!" Steve remarked, "What do you think you're doing?"
"I wanna hear it," She shrugged.
"Why?" Steve and Dustin said in sync.
"Oh, could you help at all?" Jenna leaned forward, intrigued.
"We don't need her help," Steve swished his hand in the air.

"I'm fluent in four languages if that helps at all," Robin told Jenna directly.
"Russian?" Dustin asked, eagerly.
"Let her finish," Jenna kicked him under the table.
"Ou-yay are-yay umb-day." Robin spoke.
Dustin and Steve looked at one another in utter disbelief.
"Ost-may definitely-day," Jenna responded.
"Oh my god, it is Russian!" Dustin freaked out.
"No," Alice laughed at the boys, "It's Pig Latin, dip-shit. Even I know that."

"But," Robin continued, "I can speak Spanish and French and Italian, and I've been in band for 12 years. My ears are little geniuses, Jenna can back me up."
"Uh..." Steve looked around the table, his mouth open slightly.
"Come on," Robin whined, "It's your turn to sling ice cream, my turn to translate. I don't even want credit. I'm just bored."
Robin held out the ice cream scoop to Steve. He looked over at Jenna to make sure everything was alright and she nodded sternly. He sighed and grabbed the scoop from her whilst the bell at the counter was being ferociously rung by Erica for the fifth time that day.
"Have fun, sailor boy!" Alice waved.
"Shut up, Alice," He waved his scoop at her, "You aren't even supposed to be here. And don't call me that."
