The boys sat with Eleven on the bleachers while Jenna, Jon, Hopper, and Joyce were discussing a plan.
"So this fort. Where is it?" Hopper asked Joyce.
"Uh, it's in the woods behind our house," Joyce stuttered out.
"Yeah," Jon added, "He used to go there to hide."

Hopper suddenly marched out of the gym, causing the other three to follow behind.
"Hey," Hopper snapped at the three and pointed at the school, "Get back inside."
"What, are you insane?" Joyce stared at him, wide-eyed, "No, I'm..."
"Look, if something happens to me," Hopper continued, "I don't make it back..."
"Yeah, but then I'll go," Joyce stood her ground, "You stay. Are you kidding me? He's my son, Hop. My son. I'm going! Now listen," She turned to Jonathan, "I need you to stay here..."
"No," He told his mom.
"And watch over the kids with Jenna," She continued.
"No, Mom," He desperately tried to convince her, "I can help."
"Please," She pleaded, "I need you to stay, Jonathan."

"Joyce!" Hopper yelled over at her, trying to get her to join him in the car.
"Please be careful," She told her son and Jenna, then followed Hopper to go rescue Will, "I'm gonna find him."
"Come on, Jon," Jenna nudged her friend as Hopper and Joyce drove off, "Let's go inside."
"No," He shook his head, "I want to go."
"Do this one thing for me and please come inside and help me with the kids. I ask you for almost no favors, so come on."
"Ugh, fine," He begrudgingly followed behind her, "But that won't stop me from worrying about my mom and Will."
"I didn't expect it to. Now, come on and help me with the kids. I'm sure they're just as worried as you are."
"I'm always willing to help out a fellow freak, it's not just because you have killer music taste, but that does help."
"Thanks, Jon. Love you, too, my fellow freaky friend."

As they walked inside, before they could get to the kids, they found Nancy sitting on the hallway floor, crying. Jen and Jon walked up to her and each sat on one side of her. They sat in uncomfortable silence for a few seconds before Jenna spoke up, "Nance, I'm sorry about Barb. It's not your fault, you know? I know you think it is, but it's not, okay?"
"I know," She sniffled, wiping her eyes. After she regained her composure, she turned to her friends, "We have to go back to the station."
"What?" Jonathan questioned.
"Your mom and Hopper are just walking in there like bait," Nancy pointed out, "That thing is still in there. And we can't just sit here and let it get them, too. We can't."
"You still wanna try it out?" Jon asked Nancy.
"I wanna finish what we started," Nancy corrected.
"And I want to kill it," Jenna interjected, "So, let's get our weapons and kill that fucker."

Jenna let Nancy and Jonathan start up his mom's car while Jenna quickly went to say goodbye to the kids.
"Dust?" She peeked her head into the gym, "Can you come here a sec?"
"What's up, Jen?" He jogged up to her.
"I'm heading with Nancy and Jonathan to help Hopper and Joyce, okay? So, none of us are gonna be here. It'll just be you four, okay?"
"Are you gonna kill the Demogorgon?"
"I'm gonna try my best to."
"Beat its ass, Jenna. I believe in you, sis."
"Thanks, Dust. Stay safe, alright?"

She pulled her younger brother in for a hug, resting her head on top of his. She pulled away, but not before gently kissing the top of his hat and whispering to him, "If anything does happen, though, just remember: either do what I'd do or let Eleven handle it."
"Kay, Jena. I Love you!"
"Love you, too you little shit! Stay safe or I'll be the one to kill you!"
Jenna ran out of the gym and hopped in the passenger's seat of the car.
Let's kick some Demogorgon ass!

The teens snuck back into the police station and grabbed their box of supplies, along with a fire extinguisher, without somehow getting caught. They loaded their goodies into the back seat with Nancy and drove to the Byers' house to set their trap. Once at Jon's, they dumped their box onto the floor, got to work screwing all of the light bulbs back into the Christmas lights hung all around the house, and nailed the bear trap into the floor. Nancy loaded up her gun, Jon hammered nails into the baseball bat, and Jenna poured the lighter fluid in a trail on the carpet from the bear trap to the bedroom that they planned on hiding in later. The final touch added was a yo-yo hanging on a chair in the bedroom so they could tell if the Demogorgon was in position to light it up.
I guess we're all set. Let's rock n' roll, baby!
