"Wednesday!"
Enid's worried voice rang deafeningly in her ears, it was the last thing she heard before her senses were muted. When she opened her eyes she noticed that she had been transported to what was certainly the inside of the same house. As she glanced around it became increasingly clear to Wednesday she was no longer in the present instead she was witnessing a time in its past. Wednesday glanced around the hallway taking note of the lesser amount of scratches that adorned the walls and floors, as well as the tan color that was painted on the walls as opposed to the light gray that she had just seen. Cautiously she grabbed the doorknob slowly opening the very door that had triggered the psychic connection.
Peering inside the room, Wednesday immediately took notice of the smaller blonde teenager holding onto her knees and softly crying on the floor. Wednesday stalked closer to the girl taking note of her slightly longer blonde hair that lacked the colorful highlights of at the tips. Though she could still tell the child was unmistakable Enid. Wednesday glanced around the comparatively drab room to the one Enid had at Nevermore. Its walls lacked any obnoxiously bright colors, and there were considerably less stuffed animals atop the bed. Before she could investigate her surroundings any further Wednesday heard the thunderous sound of foot steps storming ever closer to the room. Wednesday turned to face the now closed door.
"Go away!" The younger Enid screamed at the mysterious person approaching her room. Whoever was approaching the young girl was obviously afraid of them as she backed away further and further from the door. Having heard what Enid had to say about her own mother Wednesday knew it could only be one person approaching the room.
The door slammed open as Esther made her way towards the sobbing child. Wednesday watched as the woman walked right past her like she wasn't even there. Wednesday reached out to pull the angry woman away from Enid but was unable to physically touch her, instead her hand just phased through her like a ghost. It seemed as though unlike her visions of Goody she could only watch. Maybe it had something to do with her and Goody both being Addamses, it was something Wednesday would have to figure out back in the present.
"You're such a disappointment, why can't you wolf out like all the other children your age?" Esther hissed at her daughter as she grabbed her by her hair, pulling her towards the door.
"Ow that hurts mom, you're hurting me! I don't know why I can't wolf out, I don't know! I'm sorry." Enid pleaded with her mother, her voice laced with defeat. Tears were streaming down her face.
Tears did not suit Enid. Wednesday could only follow and watch, unable to intervene to help the young Enid as the girl's mother dragged the poor girl down the stairs by her hair. She followed them through the house watching as the woman grabbed a collar, a leash, and what looked to Wednesday like a paddle that had been coated entirely in silver except for its handle which remained what looked to be made of plastic or rubber. Wednesday did not like where this was going as she could feel the anger swelling inside of her gnawing at her mind to do something.
Eventually Wednesday found herself standing in the backyard of the house watching the mother and daughter. It was a rather chilly evening and Enid did not have on the proper clothes to be outside in such weather. Even in her jacket the wind brought chills to Wednesday's body. The young psychic watched in horror and disbelief as Esther placed the collar around Enid's neck and clicked the leash into place before wrapping it around a post behind the house. Then in one swift motion she lifted the young girl's shorts up and smacked the silver paddle into her upper thigh causing the poor girl to yelp in pain. Her thigh sizzled as the silver burned away the girl's skin. Wednesday was seething with hatred at the sight. Wednesday was sadistic to those who deserved it, which admittedly was a large portion of people, however this crossed so many boundaries. Unable to bare looking at the torture any longer Wednesday focused her eyes to the ground below her, only then noticing her shaking hands.
