Yoko's stomach grumbled as she pulled the car into one of the last few remaining free parking spaces outside of the Weathervane cafe. The bright rays of sunlight beamed down on her resulting in her body beginning to feel sluggish. Contrary to what pop culture would have people believe vampires didn't burst into flames or die from sunlight but direct exposure does inhibit their strength and stamina. It also has the ability to burn out their retinas but that wasn't exclusive to sunlight, any overly bright light has the possibility of leaving them permanently blinded. It was why Yoko and most other vampires would be seen wearing dark-tinted glasses when they were indoors as well as outside. On such sunny days like today, Yoko liked to never leave the comfort of her room opting to sit and read on her bed rather than interact with the outside world.

Yoko was rushing to open the passenger side door when Wednesday stepped out her head tilted and left eyebrow cocked puzzled by Yoko's actions. Yoko shot her a cringing smile as she thought about how she'd tried to open the door for her like she would with Divina. Leading the way towards the cafe without a struggle she pulled the door open. The door chimed as Yoko held it open for Wednesday to step into the small establishment. Once again she hadn't even thought about what she was doing it was just so natural for her to hold the door open for Divina. The gust of cool air from the air conditioner felt like a breath of fresh air on such a warm summer day. The chatter of patrons along with the smell of warm food and coffee flooded Yoko's senses as she wordlessly followed Wednesday to a booth. The cafe was swarming with people so she knew it may be a while until they were able to order much less actually be able to eat.

She sat down opposite Wednesday as the girl silently observed the room. Yoko could tell from Wednesday's change in posture that she was feeling uneasy, though the girl masked the emotion well. Despite her attempt at masking her emotions, there were still small signs that Yoko took notice of such as her shaking like it was freezing and the way her eye's were wide like she couldn't risk not noticing any small detail or any tiny movement inside the cafe. She looked around trying to figure out what was causing Enid's friend's distress. Though nothing stood out to her as out of the ordinary. Not able to find anything wrong she delved into the endless things Enid had told her had happened to Wednesday which was a lot although admittedly she hadn't paid the best attention to her friend's ramblings. She tried her hardest searching through every bit of information she had somehow managed to store in her memory bank for anything that might be the trigger for Wednesday's discomfort.

"Hi welcome to Weathervane, what can I get for you today, shall we start with drinks?"

Yoko's thinking was interrupted by a young waiter around their age. She stared at him for a few moments when the realization struck her like a semi-truck. She felt stupid for not realizing it sooner, and even stupider for taking Wednesday here. This was where Wednesday had kissed Tyler and found out about his more sinister side. The Hyde. She remembered the night that Joseph Crackstone had attacked Nevermore a mix of emotions swelling inside her. She felt conflicted as on one hand the night had been terrifying (and that was coming from someone who had lived for almost a hundred seventy years and had seen and lived through her fair share of horrifying shit.) yet on the other, she had felt the thrilling excitement of learning that her best friend had managed to overcome her inability to shift into her wolf.

"And for you?"

The boy's question pulled Yoko back to the present.

"I'll take an iced coffee please."

"Okay I'll be right back with your drinks." The boy smiled at them as he tucked his pen into his shirt pocket before he headed back to the counter.

Their waiter even looked eerily like Tyler, which wasn't saying much as he looked like any stereotypical overly privileged teenage boy that any straight normie girl would be head over heels for. She shook her head as she watched the boy as he fumbled with her coffee nearly spilling it all over himself as he poured it into the cup. She watched on as the boy grabbed a towel and wiped down the counter before finally managing to head back towards them drinks in hand. Yoko was struck with confusion when Wednesday lightly flinched as the boy placed down their drinks on the table.
