Enid was already sitting at her vanity getting ready for the day ahead. She had slept better the night before than she had in her entire life, all thanks to the girl who had been cuddled up against her when she awoke. The sight elicited strong feelings in the blonde and she knew she was reaching her tipping point. What she needed was someone to confide in to make sure she was understanding her feelings correctly. Sadly that didn't leave a ton of options Yoko had been single for as long as she knew her, at least she had never brought up any romantic partners, and most everyone else she knew were acquaintances at best. In the end, she could only think of one person she could talk to, and as much as it pained her to admit she knew he was as much of an expert in the field of self-discovery as she had access to. As she finished up the last of her makeup she noticed movement on the bed, as Wednesday sat up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes.
"Good morning roomie, did you sleep well?"
"I feel adequately rested."
"Oh I just wanted to say I have some things I've got to do today so I probably won't be able to hang out much, at least not until later in the afternoon."
Enid was already grabbing her phone and shoving it into the pocket of her jeans. She did one last spin in front of the vanity mirror to check that her outfit was fashionable enough to be viewed by the student body. Once she was happy with her look she glanced over to Wednesday who was making her way towards their bathroom. She paused just before she entered the tiled room.
"That works out quite well as I was planning on doing some research today, and will be preoccupied throughout much of the morning and into the afternoon."
"In that case do you want to just meet up at the cafeteria for dinner?"
"That would be tolerable."
"See you at dinner then!"
Enid was thankful when she made it out to the hallway and heard the soft click of the door shutting. She wasn't sure how much more she could take of seeing how adorable Wednesday looked with messy bed hair. She felt she already knew what Ajax was going to tell her but she wanted to know everything about exactly what it was that she was feeling. It was against school rules for girls to go to the boys' dormitory but that wouldn't stop her. With determination and fire in her step, she began making her way towards the boys' dormitory.
Enid hadn't been nervous until she arrived at the door to Ajax's room. They hadn't spoken since her first day back at Nevermore, and they had left their previous discussion on not the best of terms. Now here she was about to spill her guts to him in hopes he would be able to give her advice. She contemplated leaving but decided to stand her ground and get the answers she was desperately looking for. Not wanting to give herself the chance to run away she knocked loudly on the door. She heard what sounded like someone falling and a few moments later the door opened just a crack.
"Who's there?" A very groggy-sounding Ajax asked.
"It's Enid, I could really use some advice. Can we go for a walk?"
"Sure let me just uhh, shit where are my. Just give me like a few minutes to get ready."
"Okay, I'll be waiting."
Ajax shut the door and once again Enid was left alone in the hallway to pass the time. She hoped no teachers would check the hallways this early in the morning as they were known to do. Unfortunately, it seemed they did in fact check this early in the morning as a teacher rounded the corner, trying to catch girls making their escape back to their dorms from their boyfriends'. Not wanting to risk punishment for a simple misunderstanding Enid quickly dived under a couch that was located in the hallway nearly smashing her face into its wooden lining. She covered her mouth in hopes to quiet her breathing. She watched as the shoes walked ever closer to her eventually passing the couch and continuing on down the hallway.
