During all her time at Nevermore, she had never had to do something as difficult as what she was currently. Wednesday was sitting at her desk with her phone in her hand a message already typed out. She didn't want to enlist their help but she had to admit they were the best equipped to aid her with her current task. She hated to admit it but she was thankful that Enid had placed Yoko's number into her contacts. Though Thing helped her alter the name of the vampire in her phone.

Wednesday was doing her best to be cordial with the overly flirtatious vampire. In the week following her failed revenge plot, she had apologized again and hadn't made any offhanded remarks that would earn her stern looks of warning from Enid. At the same time, Yoko hadn't made any comments about her mother or how she was a 'MILF' so Wednesday figured Enid had somehow gotten the unruly vampire to agree to her request.

Enid was going out with Ajax to do something around the school. Wednesday hadn't been told the details and she didn't ask about them either. This was stupid she shouldn't be worrying so much about asking Yoko to help her find a present for their mutual friend. She hit send on the message asking for the vampire's help with her task.

Wednesday (10:16 a.m.): "I am of the understanding that you are in the possession of a car. If it is not too much to ask I require your assistance in picking out a present for Enid's birthday, and to work on improving our rocky relationship. For Enid's sake. -Wednesday"

Wednesday laid the phone down on her desk. From what Enid had told her Yoko may only just be waking up. Although others may see this act as a form of laziness Wednesday understood that due to her vampire physiology, Yoko's body was meant to be active during the night. As much as she hated to admit it Yoko was an apex predator of the night a creature designed to stalk it's prey when they were most vulnerable and retreat back to their lair before the sun had a chance to show its presence. Vampires were fascinating creatures and Wednesday would love to study one up close however using Yoko as a specimen was less than an appealing idea. Then again getting to poke and prod her could prove to be entertaining, she would consider the idea some more before drawing any definitive conclusions.

Wednesday didn't understand why she wanted to make sure Enid had a good birthday. It made no logical sense she hated birthdays. From the excitement and joy of others whose birthday it wasn't down to the excessively sweet cuisine that was a custom. Yet here she was wanting to make sure that the werewolf that she had known for under a year had a birthday she would remember.

Wednesday busied herself with her writing. Thing was laying on her bed flipping through the pages of a magazine showcasing all the popular new nail polish and hand moisturizers. Time went by in a blur as she focused on her story. She was thinking of taking a break and going down to the dining hall to grab lunch when her phone buzzed.

InsolentVampire (10:56 a.m.): "K come to my room at 11:15 and be ready we can eat at the coffee shop in town  CYS BB GRL <3"

Yoko's lack of punctuation frustrated Wednesday and she didn't understand what Yoko was saying at the end of the text. She responded with a simple message of agreement to the proposal before setting her phone back down on her desk.

*sigh*

Wednesday hadn't even seen her today and the vampire was already getting on her nerves. She was already dressed anticipating going to Jericho even if she hadn't found her means of transportation. Thing flipped the magazine he was reading shut and began signing on the bed asking where she was going.

"I'm on my way to Yoko's room so she can take me to Jericho and pick out a suitable present for Enid's birthday."

Thing went pale (well paler than normal.) at her statement. He panicked signing incoherent sentences about if he'd lost his mind, or if Wednesday really meant she was going to Jericho with Yoko of all people. He scuttled over to Enid's vanity to check himself out in the mirror flicking himself with his index finger to make sure he was awake. A fact that was indisputable when he flicked himself a little too hard causing him to stumble backwards and off the vanity sending him crashing onto the hardwood floor.
