CP: 553 is to be contained within a standard Foundation containment cell at Site ██. All testing with 553 is to be approved by Site-173 and must be conducted with a sample bag. No writing material or objects of similar materials are allowed within 553's containment cell and are to be disposed of in accordance with HIPAA and Privacy Act regulations.

D: 553 is a small orange storage box, which originally contained approximately twenty seven matches and twenty one briar pins, each with a yellowhead tip. The box was recovered from the backseat of a yellowing blue Chevy Cavalier parked in a vacant lot in [REDACTED]. 553 has no visible damage, its surface is otherwise unmarked and appears to be intact. Tests conducted using a magnifying glass have shown 553 to contain an unknown substance with a greyish color, as if it was applied with a brush. Any reading material found within 553 had its pages consumed by the substance, in all cases after remaining intact for twenty four hours. Any material, including the envelopes containing matches and the briar pins themselves, that are placed on or in the box become visibly sticky, not allowing the paper to be removed with even a fine sable or brush.

The matches and briar pins examined by staff do not display any particular anomalous properties.
