Mia POV

2 weeks later

It's been 2 weeks since everything happened and I haven't spoken with Chris or Luca. I missed Lucas birthday, Lisa tried to persuade me to go but I didnt want to be around Chris. The way he spoke to me and the hate that came from him. Not to mention Minika, I can't believe she lied. I asked her to look after Luca just for a few minutes and she couldn't even be bothered.

The fact Chris tried to bring mark into this as well hurt me. I had met mark on my tour and we had been texting back and forth. Nothing to interesting just getting to know each other. He has said he would be in Boston in September and if I was free we should go for a drink. I was looking forward to it, he seemed like a really sweet guy. But I would never put anything before Lucas safety.

Lisa has asked me to pop round today, she wants to see me. So I agreed. She promised chris wouldn't be there so I grab his and Lucas gifts that I had bought and make my way over.
I wasn't going to give Chris his but I spent the money on it and it's personalised so it's not like I can give it to someone else. I pull up outside Lisa's and knock on the door. When she opens the door I see Luca standing there, a huge smile on his face.

He wraps his arms around my waist and I can't help but smile.
"Mia! I missed you"
"I missed you too mate"
Lisa ushers us inside and makes me a cup of tea, Luca not leaving my side the entire time.
"We missed you around here"
"I know, I've missed you all too"
"Have you spoken to Chris?"
I shake my head "no"

She nods "I don't blame you. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in him"
"He was scared Lisa"
"I get that. But he knows you would never do anything to hurt that little boy. You've been more of a mother to him then anyone and for Chris to just....."
She takes a deep breath "I'm just so sorry for how he treated you"
"You don't have to apologise"
I grab the bag with Lucas gift and tell him to open it. Inside is a book collection that he told me he wanted.

It's the whole Harry Potter collection, special editions.
"Thank you so much Mia" he hugs me tight "your welcome. Happy birthday"
He smiles big and continues to look over the books. I hear the door open and I hear his voice.
"Hey Ma, you here?"
I look to Lisa and I see the shock on her face "I didn't know he would be here. I'm sorry"
I shake my head "it's okay. I'm going to go"

Luca looks up and runs to me, wrapping his arms around me. I look to the door and see Chris and her standing there.
"Please don't go Mia"
"I'm sorry little man, but I have too. You enjoy those books okay"
He holds me tighter and I hear him sniffling.
"Don't cry buddy please" I can't help the tears rolling down my cheeks.
"No. Why can't he go? I hate him"
I can't believe he has just said that. I kneel down to Lucas level. I see Chris go to walk towards him so I talk quickly.

"Hey. No you don't. You love your dad more then anything. You know why?" Luca shakes his head "he is the best dad in the world, he loves you more then anything in this world. You are his everything and you always will be. Don't ever say you hate him Luca because he is your dad and you only ever get one mate"
He nods and hugs me again. Lisa takes him from me and I hug her goodbye. I walk past chris and Minika and make my way to do the door. Unable to hold my emotion in anymore.

I get to my car and I hear my name shouted.
"Mia wait"
I turn and wipe away my tears, it's Chris standing in front of me.
"You don't have to leave"
"Yes I do" I go to turn away but he reaches for my arm.
"Thank you. For what you said to Luca"
I nod "I just spoke the truth. I have to go"
"Mia....."
I shake my head "don't"
I get in my car and drive away. I hate this, there my family and I've been driven away for a mistake that wasn't mine. I feel like I've lost everything.
