Chris POV

I wake up with Mia on my chest, she looks so peaceful. Last night was incredible, the first time we have ever made love and it was the best I have ever had. It was like we were made for each other. As I lay there stroking her hair and kissing her head, I hear her phone ringing. She groans and looks up at me. She rolls over and blindly answers the phone.
"Hello"
I see her face change instantly and she sits up. I sit waiting to find out what is going on.

"Okay thank you, I'll be there as soon as possible"
She hangs up and looks up at me "what's going on?"
"Hannah's awake"
"She is?"
She nods and I see tears fall "hey" I wipe away the tears and hold her close "that's a good thing"
"I know......I just got used to the idea she might not wake up. I never expected this"
I kiss her head "come on let's get dressed and head to the hospital"

We managed to get sorted pretty quickly, Mia calls Ma on the way while I drive. Ma is happy to keep the kids for as long as we need. I would definitely be lost without that woman. I hold Mia's hand and I can see how nervous she is.
"Hey, everything is going to be okay?"
"I know I'm just scared to see her"
"I know" I kiss her hand and park up the car. We head on in and as we walk through the door, we see the police standing by Hannah's bed.

"You couldn't wait?" Mia asks the officer as she stands by her sister.
"I asked them here Mia, I didn't want to forget anything"
Mia looks down at her sister and she gently pushes some of her hair behind her ear.
"It's good to see you sis"
"You too"
They both start to cry as the officers make there way out.
"We will be in contact as soon as possible"
I nod and thank them before closing the door behind them.

Mia POV

Seeing her laying there is heartbreaking she looks so broken. After we both calm down, I sit down beside her with Chris at the side of me.
"Hannah what happened?"
"When I.......god Mia when I did that to you.....I had to go......I was so ashamed and I knew you were right. About everything. That's why I left Avery, I'm not good for her Mia"
"Hannah how did you end up here?"
"I went to Paul, to tell him I was done. I wanted a divorce when I got there he was fucking some other girl. And I was broken even more, I headed out to a bar and I met this guy who said he could give me something that would make me feel better"

"God Hannah!"
"I know okay, anyway whatever he gave me, it was bad and I was out of it. Before I knew it I was back at his and I was trying all kinds of things and before I knew it I was stuck there. And then things got really bad when I couldn't pay, so they beat me and they......"
She starts to cry and I can't help but cry with her. Wrapping her in my arms "Hannah......I'm so sorry"

We sit for a while just crying and she explains more about what happened. Chris offers to grab us some coffees and the doctors come in to check her over. We make the decision to send her to rehab, to help her through all of this. She wants me to keep Avery until she is better and of course I'm happy to help. She thought I would hate her for what happened but I know she never meant to hurt me and all I want now is for her to get better. For her to heal.
