Chris POV

Luca is in bed and Lucy is sat on the sofa just finishing with dinner. She's been really quiet since we got home and I know she is pissed at me.
"Luce I'm really sorry"
"I know Chris"
"You just seem so pissed"
"I'm not. Well I am a little but......."
"But what?"
"Luca told me about Mia. Being pregnant and you guys spending so much time with her"
" Yeah. She's about 6 months now"

"That's great. Chris?"
"Yeah"
"How many times did we talk this last month?"
"I don't know why?"
"Twice. In the whole month we spoke twice"
"Sorry, I've just been really busy"
"I know and it's okay. You've been busy helping Mia"
"She doesn't have anyone else Luce I can't just......"
She takes my hand and smiles "I'm not mad. But I think there is more then just friendship there with you guys"

"Nothing has ever....."
She shakes her head "I know. Your not that guy Chris but ever since I met her I can see the connection you two have. And your face always lights up whenever your around her."
I sigh "Lucy......"
"Chris. Your an amazing guy, and I like you. But you and I both know your in love with her"
I shake my head "Lucy i....."
"Chris.....your kidding yourself if you don't think you are. And it's okay. You guys are meant for each other, I can see that. So can everyone else. It's just you two that seem oblivious"

I shake my head smiling "how are you so calm about this right now?"
"Easy. Chris you haven't cheated on me. You haven't hurt me. You've treated me like a princess and I'm so happy I met you. And that I got to spend this time with you. But we aren't meant for more then friendship chris. The woman you belong with is sat at home right now, because you left her to pick me up. Go to her chris. Tell her how you feel. I'll stay here with Luca"
"Lucy......thank you"

She smiles and hugs me "your not getting rid of me. Me and Luca are friends for life so your stuck with me"
I laugh "that's good with me"
I grab my keys and rush out the door, driving to Mias house the nerves kick in. What if she doesn't want me? What if she closes the door in my face? I would deserve it.
I knock and wait. God please answer.
She opens the door and smiles widely when she sees me.
"Chris what are you doing here?"
"Can I come in?"

She nods and waddles out of the way so I can come inside. I can't help but smile at her walk. She really is a beautiful pregnant woman. We sit down and I see her jar of pickles and her Doritos next to the jar.
"Still craving those then?"
She smiles and nods "yep!  Baby wants what it wants"
She eats a Dorito with a pickle on it and I can't help fall In love with her more.
"Everything okay chris?"

"Yeah. Lucy and I we just broke up"
"Oh god.....chris I'm so sorry. Was it because you were late picking her up because I can explain to her it was my fault. I'll ring her.....let me talk to her......where's my phone?"
I grab her hand and gently pull her close.
"It's not because of that"
"Did she cheat? I'll kick her ass"
I laugh as she tries to pull away from me.
"Hey fiesty calm down. She didn't cheat"

"Okay. So what happened?"
"We had a conversation about the fact that, we haven't spoken more then twice this whole month and how she thinks I'm meant for someone else"
"God chris that's my fault I kept you from speaking with her and......"
Before she can continue, I cup her face gently and pull her to my lips. I feel the shock in her before she gradually relaxes and kisses me back. As I pull away, I lean my forehead against hers and smile.

"We broke up because........because I'm in love with you"
She gasps "you are?"
I nod and she giggles pulling me forward to kiss me again.
"I'm in love with you too"
I let out a deep breath and chuckle "thank god"
I kiss her again and I feel her smile into it. This was really happening. Finally.
