Update

Chris POV

I'm pacing the hospital walkway. She hit her and she fell. I couldn't even believe what had come out of Hannah's mouth. Why on earth would she hit not only her sister but her pregnant sister? I was beyond freaking out, flash backs of the night I lost Alice. I couldn't lose Mia too, or the baby. They both had to be okay.

Mum had rushed to the hospital and helped me with Luca and Avery. Hannah had been taken to the police station. The paramedics rang it through and it was protocol so I couldn't do anything. But if I'm completely honest I didn't want to do anything. She caused this and now the woman I love is in this damn hospital and I'm not being given any information.

I see Scott walk up to me and place his hands on my shoulder.
"Chris please sit down"
"I can't Scott I need to know what's going on?"
"I know but your scaring the kids"
I look over and Avery is cuddled into my Ma while Luca is sitting there with his head down.
I walk over and sit down next to him, wrapping my arm around him.
He looks up as he wipes away a tear "dad?"
"Yes mate"
"Is mum going to be okay?"

In that moment I felt my heart break and sore at the same time. He called her mum, and she wasn't here to hear it.
"Luca, she is one of the strongest people I know okay"
He nods "I just don't want to loose her like I lost my other mum"
"I know buddy. I know" he cuddles into me more and I can't help the silent tears from falling. I sometimes forget the toll it takes on him knowing his mum died when he was born. We all sit in silence, Avery asleep with my Ma and Luca cuddled into me.

I hear the door open and I see a doctor come walking over. I look at my Ma and she nods, taking Luca from me and I join the doctor.
"Hello Mr Evans right?"
"Yes. How is she?"
"Miss Stenton had a serve bleed, we had to deliver the baby"
"Oh god. Are they okay?"
"You have a beautiful baby girl mr Evans"
I can't help but smile, my baby girl.
"What about Mia?"

He looks down "she is stable for now but she lost alot of blood, she has a broken leg and a broken arm. But for now she is okay. The next 24-48 hours are crucial and we will know more then. Your daughter has been taken to the NICU and you can see her whenever you would like"
"Can I see Mia first?"
He nods and I follow him, looking back at my Ma and her nodding.
He opens the door and there is my baby, hooked up to tubes and machines and her arm and leg in a cast.

I walk over after saying my thanks to the doctor "god Mia" I take her hand "you have to wake up okay I can't loose you. Not after everything, our daughter is here. She needs her mother and so does Luca. Please baby. Wake up"
I silently let the tears fall and place my head on her hand. She has to wake up, I can't do this without her. I need her and so does the family.
