'Shhh...' you coaxed as the Keeper slowly slugged his way into view. 'Are you ready?' you ask quietly, and the little devil nodded, his smile faltering as he stared at the now-closer Keeper. You slowly made your way over to the door, with Bendy by your side this time. But the Keeper turned around and noticed us crawling. It cried out its warning and charged at us. You looked to the door. We wouldn't make it in time.

'Bendy! Over here!' You yell at him to move his feet as you grab his hand. Dashing over to a less-broken vent grate, you hit it with your arms pumping full of adrenaline. It smashed into pieces. You shoved Bendy and you followed, but the Keeper kept coming. Bendy crawled as fast as he could to get away, but you froze in terror as you saw the Keeper get low to grab at you. You hit his hand with your pipe, and it flinched back, enraged.

It dove low into the vent and slowly made its way up to you. 'Bendy, GO!' You screamed and turned back around to follow him. Bendy didn't see what was happening but followed your instructions without delay. He reached the other side, and you hopped out to, but the Keeper was still crawling through. Quickly thinking, you grabbed hold of the unharmed vent grate that was leaned against the side of the wall and pressed it up against the vent with all of your might. You saw where there should have been nails imbedded to help it stand, so you swung your pipe at them to bend the soft metal. Your idea worked and the Keeper was trapped clawing for you both in the vents. It tried to turn around, but the size of the creature made it impossible. It was stuck.

Bendy poked his tongue out at it and you surprised yourself by chuckling. 'Come on you rascal...' you took him by the hand, a simple comfort you had started to get used to doing and had a look around the room.

There's no Keeper here... I think the one you trapped was keeping watch of this area too.

''Hit two birds with one stone, then!' you chirped, and you noticed some random stuff on the counter. 'I'll grab this stuff, okay? Can you have a look for any danger or a good way to keep heading forward over there?' You gestured to the door leading back to the other room, and he nodded. You smiled warmly as he dashed over and hid behind the door frame, placing his free hand on his brow as he squinted in search. It was strange how he sometimes acted so animated, and yet so childlike and numb. The difference was obviously his mood.

Before he was skittish because of distrust, then he warmed up to you with his light pranks and humour, but then... Never mind that, just do what you said you'd do. You sigh and walk over to the counter bench, avoiding the dead body of a Lost One laying against the island bench. There was a battery and a Gent Part, a few slugs and a battery casing... but nothing else was useful. You look in the cupboard below and find a lonely bacon soup can. 'Bendy?' you whispered and held out the can. His eyes immediately lit up at the sight of one of his few food resources, and he sprinted over to you and stared at you, pensively waiting. You snickered and handed him the can, which he immediately tried to skull it down.

The can wasn't opened. With how tense everything was here, that simple act was enough to make you howl with laughter, as Bendy gave you an annoyed glance. 'Yeah... yeah, I'll help...' you managed between fits of giggles and guffaws. You grabbed hold of the cold metal tab and pulled, opening the lid. 'Be careful...' you said finally, feeling the rim. Black ink automatically leaked from your finger at the touch. 'It's very sharp.'

Bendy didn't seem to care and grabbed hold of it from your grasp, gulping it down quickly. You stared agape at seeming how quickly he was able to drink it down. He gave out a small burp as he patted his stomach, a satisfied grin seeping onto his face.

'Glad you enjoyed that,' you finally said after a moment, and Bendy whistled happily. He reached out and hugged, you and you felt him feeling a little more bloated already. He must've really needed that...

'So, did you find a good route to take?' you asked as Bendy let go. He grinned wide and nodded with enthusiasm, gesturing for you to follow him. 'Take the lead, you little rascal.' It was fun from time to time to let Bendy so something, because you loved seeing his face get all excited about it. He must love doing something he thinks is important.

He led you up toward a staircase to a door that had the word, "Condemned" written above. Is this the Pit? A lever was beside the door, which you reached up to pull. Electric sparks fluttered out and hit you, making you jolt back in pain. 'Ow! ....Ouch...' you grasp your hands tightly to try and numb the burning feeling in your fingertips. Bendy rushes to your aid and has a look at your fingers. Observing them for a second, he turns to face the lever and gave it a disapproving glare. This makes you snicker. 'You tell that lever who's boss...' you mumble and Bendy shakes his head in mock upset.

'That's where the ghosts live!' A young and raspy girl's voice called, making you yelp and turn to look behind you. A Lost One with drooping long hair was smiling at you, slouched slightly and fiddling with her hands as she stared at you. 'Uh... the ghosts?' you ask. She was Bendy's height, slightly shorter than you. She nodded, seemingly very happy to have guests to talk to. It made you feel a sense of pity. A child doesn't deserve to be here. And yet... you felt a small connection with this girl... she seemed to be connected to your mother... somehow. You just couldn't rest your finger on it.

'Just beyond that door...' she gestured to the door with sorrow, shaking her head. 'The Keeper's prison... the Pit.' She looked down, visibly upset. 'No one ever comes out!' she cried loudly, making you wince slightly. She was a bit extravagant, but she seemed friendly enough. She took on a darker persona as she looked away, 'At least... they're never quite the same...' You turn to gaze at the door. So, is this where the Cyclebreakers are?

She suddenly gained back her happy face and bounced up and down on her heels, just like Bendy does when he was something interesting to tell you. 'But I could open the door for you! I do know how, I really do!' She twirled around happily, and you smiled. 'That's very sweet of you.' She giggled, but then stopped and thought to herself. 'But! But, first! May we play a game?' She clutched her hands together in a sort of pray-motion, her eyes pleading. 'Oh, I love to play games!' Bendy looked at her sceptically, but you rubbed his back reassuringly. 'Of course we can, what's your name?' You say, trying to get her to warm up to you, but it seemed like she already has, which saddened you for some reason. She seemed all too trusting to be living here.

'Oh! Oh, I know that one! I'm Heidi.' She placed a hand over her heart in a gesture of friendship. 'Who are you?' She pointed at you, obvious glee showing in her tone. 'I'm Y/N, and this is Bendy.' He smiled shyly and gave a small wave, which Heidi returned with a lot more enthusiasm. 'Hi Bendy!' she said loudly and giggled. Her accent was very noticeable and strong, but it almost made her even more adorable. 'Alright, new friends! You look over there and count to 10, while Bendy and I hide!'

She laughed and spun around, then grabbed hold of Bendy's hand. He looked at her confused, not really understanding what you all were playing at. 'Just follow her, Bendy. We're playing hide and seek!' you say joyously, having a nostalgia trip in the meantime. Heidi ran off back to where you came from, while dragging Bendy behind her. Bendy waved nervously with a smile as he disappeared down the stairs with her, and you waved back nonchalantly, knowing he would be fine.
