"Beautiful people run this world. If you can have brains or talent, you may just sneak through the gates. But with a pretty face, every door opens. The crowds bow to you. They ask your name. They want you to attend. They ask you to speak. A silky voice with gorgeous lips is everyone's weak spot." A messily and desperate note was laying down on a small cabinet, and you read it silently.
"I was reborn with my perfection stolen from me. To get it back, I'll rip this rotten world apart. Angels are beautiful, angels are beautiful." It was signed by Alice Angel, which you didn't find to be too surprising. Her story was rather sad, if only she had come to the realisation that looks don't actually matter and to just let go of the past, maybe things wouldn't have turned out this way...
You place the memo back onto the cabinet's surface, and keeping going, making sure to have more important things on your mind. As you entered the next room, you felt the nagging feeling in your left hand again, as well as that dull annoying headache. Those signal towers must be nearby... you clench your left hand into a fist in frustration, knowing you were unable to use your abilities currently.
They promised us peace... but they only bring us more pain!
'Bendy?' You exclaim, freezing in your spot. His voice was harsh in your mind, inflicting you with a tingling sense of fear. He turned into the Ink Demon... 'Please don't tell me you mutated in the retreat... who knows what they'll do to you!'
Your pity only fuels the Dark Puddles, spare us your heroics...
'Please, Bendy... this isn't you.' You muttered in upset, looking around at where you were. Wilson stared back at you in one of the posters.
This is who I was from the beginning, I only fell into that prison from Wilson's selfish gain...
You sigh, knowing you wouldn't be able to get to him like this. Beyond the chain-link fence in front of you were two Keepers making the rounds. Would they attack you seeing you out of the retreat? No, Wilson gave them direct orders. You walked over to them, and they screeched loudly, dashing over to you. You froze in dear and closed your eyes.
'Subject has been spotted. Proceed transport service...' They grab you roughly by the arm and you fidget for a moment, only to give up, knowing it was useless to fight back. They didn't talk to you as they dragged you back to the retreat, and you couldn't help but think that you would get a stern talking-to by everyone once you got back for going missing.
They brought you up some stairs, and you found yourself in the familiar lobby room where you first met Betty, but no one was around. They stopped and waited, still holding onto you. 'Uhm, could you please let go?' you ask, but they only reply, 'We await specific orders of release.'
'I don't think Wilson would be too pleased that you were man-handling me all the way here and forcing me to stay put after being kidnapped.' You scowl, and the Keepers freeze at your words. Then, slowly, they let go. 'Thank you.' You bow slightly, and they go back to where they were patrolling.
Looking around the large lobby room, it was eerily quiet. 'Hello?' you call. No one answered. Staring down the large staircase that led to the Pit, you thought to yourself. Maybe I should visit Henry before I go finding everyone. You climbed down the stairs quietly, as though you were afraid to wake someone up. Travelling back to the places you had seen before; you were surprised how many doors opened for you to let you go in. And sure enough, you found yourself in the Pit.
You rushed over to Henry's window and pulled the lever, only to find his chair empty. 'What?' you mumble under your breath in shock. Where did he go? His notebook was still on the chair.
A distant sound of yelling and screaming caught your attention. It sounded familiar, but you couldn't quite put your finger on it. You ran in the direction of the noise and could make out that it was a grown man snarling at a bunch of shrieking Keepers. Rounding the corner, you found Sammy on the ground with a gigantic hole in his chest, ribs protruding out grotesquely.
'My lord will set me free! You are just a bunch of cowards for not heeding my warning!' He was ranting on, while in obvious pain. He was trying to reach for his wound, but he couldn't move properly. He was dying. 'Sammy!' you cry out and run to him, both the Keepers and the worshipper surprised by your appearance.
