A long and tiring time had past of destroying those poor Lost Ones. Each and every one that came up to you, you killed. Every single one that tried, Alice would take down. Tom and Steve would be helping with some Searchers and drawing the attention of a few men and women away from you.
The fight was long, tiring, and positively dreadful. So, when fewer Lost Ones came to attack you, you hadn't noticed at all until no one was left. Everyone was dead on the floor, which really made your head hurt. Piles of bodies, all laid out. An absolute massacre. A massacre that you led. It really, really hurt your head.
You always find a way to ruin what needs to be done, don't you?
'Bendy, please...' you say quietly, all of your companions watching from a distance as you have a one-sided conversation with the demon. 'You're better than this.' He growls angrily at your words and clenches his mutated hands into a tight fist.
Your schtick is overwhelmingly sickening, Y/N... Why are you bothering?
'Because I care about you. I always have, Bendy.'
Stop calling me that.
'Please...' You take a step forward, dropping your only weapon onto the ground. The Ink Demon didn't budge. 'We're friends... let's end this nightmare once and for all.' He stops and looks at you, as if considering your words. Then he shakes his head violently and lunges into a run at you, and you couldn't move away in time before he had pushed you onto the ground. His hands were steaming and melting at your touch, but he didn't seem to care anymore.
'Y/N!' Allison cried out, before shooting bullets at the creature. It didn't nothing, and you weren't surprised. She gave up after a couple of seconds and stared hopelessly at the scene before her.
We're not friends. You're friends with him, not me. Know the difference, foolish child.
'You don't have to do this...' you say quietly, giving him a small and weak smile.
Your sacrifice will do wonders, benevolent soul... now hold still.
He drove his clawed hand at your chest and grabbed it in a firm hold, slowly crushing you. You choked for breath as you felt your ribs crack under the pressure. Tears welled up in your eyes, but you continued to stare him down.
'You're the benevolent soul, Bendy.'
You drove your right hand up and grabbed hold of his flimsy and old bowtie, dragging his chest closer to you. At the smallest chance of opportunity, you placed your left hand onto his chest and closed your eyes, smiling. 'Don't you remember when we first met? In your playroom?' You sighed, trying to ignore the increasing pressure in your lungs as he held you to the ground.
Don't toy with me.
'Your train? Remember, you were worried I was going to take it from you!' You choked out a laugh, before coughing up ink. The Ink Demon's head flinched at your words. 'Oh! And, and... You came to me after I escaped you, crying about what you had done! I hadn't understood why you were so upset, but now I do. You cared for me, and you hated yourself for what you did.' You smiled sweetly and the Ink Demon snarled.
Stop it.
'You care about me... even if you don't realise it now. Or you can't now at least... but you do. And it confuses you.'
Be quiet.
His grip on your waist loosened slightly. 'Remember our game of tag? Your silly little prank, we played with the projectors, remember? Or what about when you held the door open for me?' You began to list off things that you remembered, making light of all the fun you had had with your friend. Suddenly, the demon brought you up to his face and held you up from the ground.
Who do you think you are?
You smile and simply reply, 'Your best friend.' The demonic creature stared at you intently, then at your hand that was resting on his chest. It was glowing.
What are you going to do to me? Kill me like the others?
'No, Bendy.' You place your right hand on his face, before laughing with a genuine grin. 'I'm setting everyone free.' You flashed the memories in your mind, and it hit the demon like a tonne of bricks, all the while he stared off into space. Every second you had spent with him, with Porter, with Alice, Heidi... Everything came to you, and the demon saw it all. But not only were your memories coming up, so were his.
'You weren't loved as you should have been... but let me make up for that.' You opened your eyes, only to see Bendy crying before you. 'Oh, buddy...' you wrap your arms around him, relieved to see your pal again.
I'm-
'Don't apologise. You have nothing to apologise for, Bendy.' He pulled away from the embrace and smiled sadly at you.
You're one of a kind, Y/N.
'So everyone says...' you laugh, and Bendy wipes his eyes with his regular cheery grin. You look behind you and find Allison, Tom and Big Steve staring at you with shock and admiration, not believing what they had just seen. 'Where's Henry?' You asked, looking at everyone individually. 'He's resting. He deserved some time off, I think.' Allison replied, rubbing the back of her neck awkwardly. A trait you seemed to have had.
'Are you ready?' You ask after a moment of silence. Alice cocks her head to the side. 'For what?' You look over at Bendy, who nods his head. 'To rest.' You place your left hand on Bendy's heart and shut your eyes tightly. 'Goodbye, Bendy...' you say quietly. He doesn't reply, because you knew he was in pain.
The world started to crumble around you, the ceiling falling into pieces. Bendy whimpered at the pain of your hand, and you faltered.
Please... free everyone.
You sigh and keep going. Bendy's quiet sobs were heart-wrenching, but you knew it was for everyone. '...You are my sunshine, my only sunshine...' You whispered the lyrics of a song your mother had sung to you. It comforted you in your sleep when you were younger, and you felt Bendy's breathing slow as soon as you sung the second note. 'You make me happy when skies are grey...' You felt eyes on you from behind, but you tried to ignore it.
'You'll never know, dear, how much I love you,' you felt a tear fall down your cheek as your tried to not break your voice. '...D... Please don't take my sunshine away...'
A bright light flashed past your eyelids, and a strange nothingness took over you.
