A Date For Val

I don't know how Liv does this but she does, how did she managed to convince me to go on another date. I walked into the fancy restaurant which Liv had set up the date, it wasn't so far away from the bakery

I checked myself and made sure I was ready before he arrived, my date guide sitting pretty in my hand bag. After a few minutes he arrived, I started accessing him even before he got to the table

He was dressed in a well tailored suit, perfectly groomed hair, average height

Not bad

A young lady followed behind him with a suitcase and a laptop bag, she was dressed corporately

"Good day, Miss Jones. I am Mr Mark your potential date", he introduced himself as he sat down

"Nice to meet you Mark", I smiled. "And please call me Ava

"Very well then Ava"

I could not help but stare at the lady sitting right beside him, she unzipped the leather laptop bag and placed the laptop on the table

"I forgot to introduce you", he could definitely read the confusion on my face. " This is Rita, my personal assistant and Rita this is Ava my date", he gestured between us

The waiter arrived with a menu which we all looked through before placing our orders

Now back to where we were...WTF!!!!! I might not be the best at this dating thingy but WHO and I repeat WHO TF!!! Brings a PA on a date and asks her to seat at
the table

"Nice to meet you Rita", we exchanged greetings

"Let the date begin", he announces pulling out a file from the suite case Rita was holding

"What do you do for a living", i asked opening my date guide on my lap

"I am an entrepreneur, I own a roofing company", he answered without looking up from the file he was going through

"Nice, so you know why we are on this date?", i needed to know his intentions, I don't want any man thinking he could get to my bed. This is just for Val

"To find a woman whom I can legalize, I have a very busy schedule so this is the best way possible to find that woman. Isn't that why people go on dates

Legalize...oh heavens help me

Why do I feel like Liv keeps forgetting that this is just for the love feast, I am not actually looking for a man to legalize

"Please sign this sir", Rita hands him a file which he signs

Is he working on a date?!

The waiter arrived with our drinks after a few moments.we both sipped on our while Rita typed away on the laptop

"What do you do?", he asked after of nowhere...okay not out of nowhere, it's only normal he asks questions too

"I am a baker, I own a bakery. We are open all week from 9am to 9pm", speaking about my work and bakery is one way to keep me interested in a convo

"That doesn't fit well with me, I prefer my women to be more domesticated", he took a sip of his drink

Someone get me out of here

"What about her ambitions", i fired

"Her ambitions should lay with her husband", he turns to Rita. "How many minutes more", he asked

She glanced at her wrist watch. "Five more minutes sir", she starts clearing the files on the table into the suitcase while shutting down the laptop

"I need to go now Ava, I have a meeting soon. I would ask Rita to keep in touch", he stands up. "This is for the drinks", he placed some money on the table

He bids me goodbye and leaves with Rita trailing behind him
