Chapter 19

"Remember how we first met each other babe", Diana said looking at prince who had started turning red from blushing

"Of course", he blushed

"When do you both plan on starting arrangements for the wedding", my mum asked Michelle

"Soon, we want to have our wedding during the summer", she placed her hand on Davison's hand

"Good, we don't want the rain ruining things the way it did on our wedding",Nicole said

"It was still awesome babe", Nicholas pecked her quickly

Thankfully they weren't paying much attention to me and Nathan

"There is no one to tease now that Ava has a boyfriend", George chuckled and the others laughed, apart from me tho

"Very funny", I rolled my eyes

"Stop it George", Nicole scolded with a chuckle.

"I can't believe you actually brought someone home, i was thinking you'd win the award of loner of the year", Michelle teased

"Well not while am here", Nathan said swiftly and everyone awww at the table

I could have sworn my mum's eyes were shimmering with tears but happy tears. I looked at Nathan with a small smile, he was really pulling this off

By now everyone had finished eating, we collectively helped in clearing the table and making sure the dishes were done. We all gathered in the living room, everyone having a little chit chat here and there

My mum cleared her throat loudly in at attempt to get our attention

"It's time for the gift exchange", she announced

"Yay", Marion flung her arms in the air like a little kid who got a bunch of candies, although she is nineteen she has the heart of a 3 years old

My mum passed a paper and a pencil each to everyone to scribble their names on it, we all folded the paper with our name in the best way possible and dropped it in a bowl my mum was holding

She mixed up the names as best she could and passed it round for us to pick, I hoped I picked someone sensible.

"You can all open now", mum said after making sure we had all picked a name

I opened my paper and read the name....Prince. I picked prince

"Who did you pick", I looked into Nathan's paper. He picked Nicole

"Who picked me", I yelled

"Me", Marion waved coming over with a little wrapped box which she gave to me

In a few seconds wrappers were flying everywhere. I opened the little box, it was a double sham balac wrist band with love encrypted on it.... definitely hand made by Marion

"I love it Marion", I hugged her

Nathan got a gift from mum,a diary of daily affirmations and inspirations. I have gotten a lot of those and I truly loved and cherished them, I hope Nathan would too

"Do you like it honey", mum held onto Nathan's hand

"Definitely, I would cherish this", he smiled flipping through the pages

After the exchange of gifts we all stayed back for a while to have dessert, they guys engaged in a conversation in the living room including Nathan while the girls we all in the kitchen

I glanced at my watch and it was time leave
