A Date For Val

Chapter 16

Dinner was great, we all had a good time. Nathan seemed to have gotten along with everyone very quickly and easily. Liam and Liv went home together while Nathan dropped me off

We arrived in front of the 8 stores building where my apartment was, he pulled into the side of the street and parked.

"Thank you for coming with me", I said unbuckling my seat belt

"Thanks for inviting me, I had a good time", he shifted a bit to face me. "We should hangout sometimes"

"Yeah, we should", I smiled. "I would go now"

"Can I get your number", he asked.

"Sure", he handed me his phone while we exchanged numbers

I got out of the car and bid him farewell, i stood across the street and watched him drive into the dark.

I went upstairs, took a bath and changed into my pajamas. I laid on my bed thinking about the love feast , my phone dinged and a message notification popped up

Nathan-
Hey, still awake?

Ava-
Yes I am

Nathan-
What are you doing up by this time?

Ava-
Nothing, just thinking about something

Nathan-
Would you like to share

Ava-
I don't wanna bore you

Nathan-
Not at all...I would love to know what goes on in your pretty head

Ava-
I have this family love feast tomorrow, we celebrate it every year for valentine. I kinda promised my mum I would be coming with a special someone but I have no one to go with

Nathan-
Oh, is it that much of a big deal if you go alone

Ava-
Not really, the thing is I have never brought anyone home before and it is a topic of mockery at the love feast every year plus my mum has announced that I would be bringing someone home this year. I don't wanna disappoint her

Nathan-
Do you mind if I come with you?

Ava-
Really!? My family is a bit crazy, I don't want to put you through all that

Nathan-
I don't mind

Ava-
You don't know what you getting yourself into

Nathan-
Lol... I would love to know

Ava-
Taking you home would mean that you are my special someone, you know what I mean

Nathan-
Well aren't I special?

Ava-
Umm, I don't know, maybe

Nathan-
Lol, it's no problem Ava. Assume we are doing this for your mum

Ava-
If you put it like that then okay

Nathan-
So what time do I get you tomorrow?

Ava-
By 10am

Nathan-
Alright, we should go to bed now. Goodnight

Ava-
Goodnight

What just happened? Did I just get myself a date for the love feast? I bounced on my bed, Liv is going to be stunned when she hears about this.

I turned off the lights and drifted off to sleep with a smile on my face. When I woke up the next morning I decided to send my mum a message telling her I would be leaving by 10am

Ava(me)-
Good morning mum, I would be leaving home by 10am. I would be coming with someone so See you by 12pm probably
