"Thanks a lot Nathan", we both sat in front of the counter, the crowd had reduced and slowed down
Nathan was really a great help today, he managed to calm the horde of people which had gathered in the bakery while taking their orders. He also managed the cash register very well, he had an authoritative aura.
I wonder what I would have done without him, Liv called a few times to check up on me and I assured her I was fine. I pressed the home button on my phone and realized it was past 7 already
"Oh My!!", i exclaimed. "It's dark and I didn't even realize it"
"Time flies", he said curtly
"I am really sorry, I must have disrupted your day making you work here. I got so indulged in working that I didn't even notice", I felt so guilty for making him work the bakery

He looked like a mess, he had flour on his clothes. His once groomed hair was scattered and rough but he still looked handsome

My eyes racked up and down his body. "Your outfit has been ruined"
"Never mind", he looked down at his clothes. "Working in the bakery means getting messy", he waved it off
"I must have ruined your plans for today"
"Nah, I didn't have anything planned for today, I was just going to get myself something to munch on at home all day. Then I realized you needed some help, why are you running such a busy bakery by yourself anyway?", he asked
"I have a partner, she is my best friend. She works with my everyday, so I give her the day off during Val to spend with her boyfriend...this is going to be a very special Valentine's Day for her", I smiled to myself
"Why", he asks
"Her boyfriend is going to propose to her today and she has no clue, it's going to be a surprise", the thought excited me
"Oh, that's nice", he faced me. "What about you?"
I got confused if he was asking about my own boyfriend or why I was here during Val
"Why are you working during Val, no special plans or special someone", he questioned
I paused for a minute not knowing what to say
"Sorry if i crossed the line", he fiddle with his fingers
"It's fine, I usually spend my Valentine here at the bakery. I really don't fancy valentine"
"Finally, a person who has a common opinion", he breathes
I could not help but chuckle
"Why, you don't fancy it too ", I raise an eyebrow
"I just feel like Valentine has lost it's true meaning, you know?", he rests his elbows on the table
"Exactly", I couldn't agree more
He honestly couldn't have said it wrong,I personally feel like valentine has lost it true meaning
"You don't need a special day to show love, you are supposed to show love everyday", I explain while he stares at me
"I like the way you think", he smiles
Suddenly I heard is stomach rumble, we were both busy working that we forgot to eat. My stomach rumbled too
"Oops", I giggled. "You must be hungry, do I get you something or you want to eat at home. I have kept you here way to long"
"I don't mind, there is no one waiting for me or anything to do at home. Plus I don't feel like cooking ", he shrugged
"Since we both have no one waiting for us and nothing to do, how about we have dinner here. There are lots of leftovers", I suggest
"Sounds great", he said
