Dark horizons
Chapter 5
As happy as I was that I'd be getting a second chance I couldn't help but feel nervous. What if they didn't like me? What if they thought I was to ugly or dumb and sent me to a orphanage? What if I was abused or murdered? I disregarded that last thought because I knew that wouldn't happen. But I was apprehensive about how my life would be from now on.
"Pam? We need to go." I heard Demitri say. He was standing at the door tappinng his foot impatiently.
"Alright." I said brushing myself off and picking up my phone and bookbag. This was sure going to be interesting.
We walked out and there in the hallway stood three of the most stunning people I had ever seen. Two adults stood very close holding hands, they couldn't have been more then twenty five years old. The woman was a little taller then me so probably five six, she had short blonde hair it was a boyish cut, shaggy and almost punk looking except for the pearl clip she had in it which made it seem classy. She had green eyes that were golden on the edge. I think her eyes gave away that she was older then she looked, they were wise eyes, like the eyes of a grandmother that had lived to see many things, there were many years behind those eyes. Beside her eyes she was very youthful, her skin was lightly tanned and smooth, not a wrinkle. She wore a knee length black pencil skirt and a white button up shirt tucked into it, she accesorized it with a red bag and black peep toe heels. She was very intimidating, then she smiled. Her eyes glistened as her pale pink lips opened to reveal a perfect white smile that resembled Demitris alot.
The man that held her hand was much different, he was handsome for sure but he looked as old as the womens eyes did. He was tall and looked muscular, he had a slightly tapered jawline and his nose looked like it had been broken once or twice. He was a bit more tan then the woman and had crows feet around his chocolate brown eyes. The eyes made him look younger becuase there wasn't texture or depth or knowledge in them, they looked harsh but also ignorant. Something told me this man would be easily upset. His dark brown hair had a few grays in it and was thin. I wondered how he got this beautiful woman he looked to old and like he didn't quite size up to her somehow, not that he wasn't also intimidating. He didn't smile at me, he just looked me up and down and his gaze settled on Demitri. He was wearing an all black Calvin klien suit, he looked to well dressed for coming to a school.
The third person was a boy, probably a year older then me. He was leaning against the wall a few feet away from the couple. He was like a clone of Demitri except his hair was longer and almost white blonde, his eyes were a stunning green like the fake palm tree leafs I had in my room. There were flecks of different shades green in his eyes, he was also a bit taller then Demitri and more muscular but not chubby muscles more lean. Other then that he looked just like demitri except his face wasn't full of care and joy it was just hard and rude looking. He wore black skinny jeans and a black button up dress shirt that didn't have the top three buttons buttoned. He wore black dress shoes, too. He also looked to dressed up to be at a school.
"Pam, this is heather, my mother." Demitri said pulling my attention away from the strange boy. He turned towards the woman and she held out her hand.
"Nice to meet you Pam I can't wait to get to know you." she said as I shook her hand giving me a warm smile. I returned it. She seemed very nice. I knew I would like her.
"This is Stan my father." he said turning towards the man. I heard pride in his voice when he said that. I looked at him and smiled, he nodded.
"And that is my "lovely" brother Damon." Demitri said rolling his eyes. The boy, Damon, smirked at me showing me his teeth but in a non smiling way.
