My friends didn't seem to notice Demitri sitting behind me so they were extremely surprised when I walked off the bus with Demitri trailing behind me. I smiled at Alex who didn't seem to notice him. She was 4'9 and had long, wavy, chocolate brown hair that she kept in perfect condition. She had chocolate brown eyes to match her hair, and tanned skin that pulled it all together. She cracked a sweet smile at me and then froze when she saw Demitri over my shoulder.

"Hey guys, this is Demitri." I said motioning towards him. All four of them striaghtened up once I announced him.

"Demitri, this is Isabelle, katara, Elida, and Alexan-"

"Alex, call me Alex." She cut me off quickly.

"And Alex." I finished, sighing. I hated how much Alex disliked her real name. Alexandria was a beautiful name and it sounded so classy.

"Well, it' nice to meet you all." Demitri said shaking all of their hands, one by one. It was nice that they were meeting someone new. Someone who was extremely weird but charming in a way.

"It's nice to me you, too." They all beathed out in unison. I laughed at them, quietly. Our school wasn't used to such a unique beauty. Everyone was pretty average but different in their own ways. Because it was such a small town there really weren't any clicks and almost no fighting. There was Ashley but no one counted her because she came from a big city. Our class alone had only eighty kids in it.

"So, what's there to do around here?" Demitri asked casually.

"Well, we have classes, gym, free period, you know the usual high school stuff." Alex said. Our school was tiny and didn't have all that much to do. We were actually so small that we couldn't have a football team.

"How can I handle all of the excitement?" He asked sarcastically. We all laughed because that was something we all said.

"Well, if you want to know about afterschool we have a skating rink, movie theatre, few resteraunts, and this new teen club just opened." Isabelle offered. None of us had been to the club but we did go skating almost every friday.

"That sounds like so much fun!" He said. We all smiled.

"We could go to a movie or something?" Elida said. WE all smiled at her, she was usually shy but there were a few rare moments when she would come out of her shell and do something daring.

"Or we could go skating." Katara said.

"Theres a little food joint by the rink thats pretty cute." Isabelle added.

"Or the club, then we can be as loud as we want." Alex commented. We all looked at each other and started laughing.

Everyone became ingaged in the conversation about what do to and I tuned it out because I didn't really care. I would behappy doing whatever as long as I was with my friends. My phone buzzed and I pulled it out. It was a text from Ashton.

'I think we should talk, I'll call you.' My heart skipped a beat. He never used proper punctuation and he never just said "you". I knew what this meant. The thing we Ashton and I was that he had been bouncing back and forth between Ashley and I for the past few months. I was convinced that I was in love with him so I dealt with it, but I always knew that there would be a time he would dump me for Ashley. And then my phone rang.

   "Hello?" I asked, shakily.

"Look, I don't see why I should drag it out more then nessesary. Your three years younger than me and I'm eighteen. Obviously this isn't legal so I think we should end this befre it gets to serious." He said.
