Most girls try to sleep as late as possible but I was a morning person so I was up at 5:30 staring out the window, trying to make out the black shapes that I could barely see. The sun wasn't going to rise for another half an hour. I could see some of the light frost on the bottom of my window and smiled because that meant it had snowed.
A shiver went down my spine as I felt like I was being watched again. I hoped off my window seat and shut my curtains. Even with the curtains shut the feeling still lingered. I tried to shake it but couldn't. I had been having the feeling for awhile and couldn't make myself stop thinking someone was watching.
I plopped down onto my and pulled out my phone. There was one message from my best friend Alexandria. I smiled and opened it.
'I'm going to call you in a few. You had better pick up.' She knew I hated phone calls and liked to call me as much as she could. As if on cue my phone started buzzing.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Where the hell were you yesterday?" She yelled in my ear. I pulled my phone away from ear for a second to make sure she was done. Then laughed for a second, she liked to freak out over everything. I hadn't gone to school because I thought I saw someone waiting outside my house so I told my mom I was sick.
"I'm sorry, Boo. I was sick." I said. She laughed for a second. I either called her Alex or Boo for the most part, unless I was mad at her, then I called her Alexandria. She found it funny when I called her Boo. She was one of my best friends, I had known her since sixth grade. She was the most innocent sophomore I knew.
"Aw, I'm sorry to hear that. You missed something though. This major hottie was there, so hot!" She exclaimed. I gasped taken aback by her usage of the words "major hottie" She never said stuff like that.
"He must have been hot if he had you saying major hottie." I joked. She laughed along with me.
"You should have seen it. Ashley was all over him. He didn't say a word to her, or anyone for that matter." She said. She sounded like she was telling me a ghost story. It made sense because no guy ever ignored Ashley. She was the school slut, short shorts, low cut tops, kissing random strangers. No one liked her but everyone was nice to her because they were scared of what she would spread around the school.
"Not one word?" I asked.
"Nope. Spent the whole day staring out windows and shit like that." She replied nonchalantly. I gasped again because Alex never, never, cursed.
"Jesus, Alex! What the fuck is up with you? You never talk like that." I exclaimed.
"I'm sorry, the world makes no sense right now. The teachers didn't even get angry when he didn't respond to them. It was the strangest thing..." She trailed off. Her story made me want to go to school to see the boy.
"Well, what does this boy look like?" I asked trying to distract her.
"Words can not describe his beauty." She said in a completely serious tone.
"Guess I have to come to school today." I joked.
"Yes! If you don't today he might straighten up his act and you have to witness his strangness." she stated. I laughed, again.
"Well, I'm gonna get ready then. See you at school, love you." I said. She replied with a bye and love you and then we hung up.
After a quick shower I grabbed some clothes and sat down in front of my mirror. I will admit there was almost nothing natural about me, I wore lots of makeup, dyed my hair, and dressed to hide any imperfections. My hair was a layered, medium length, bob that I dyed a reddish purple color with a magenta highlight. I had pale skin and silvery blue eyes, I was about 5'5 and a little chubby. I didn't mind how I looked I just always felt a little naked without my hair, clothes, and makeup.
