Dark horizons
Chapter eighteen
A/N sorry about changing POV but you can't say anything about an almost dead/dying girl so...yea. If you didn't catch it the last chapter was Ian's point of view and it shall stay that way...for now
The taste was like nothing I had ever tried before. Pure and sweet. There was a bitter after taste, though. I wasn't even sure the venom was getting into her almost non existant blood stream.
I was biting her but it was through chunks of mangled flesh. I was extremely disgusted. Pam was a beautiful girl, but this wasn't a good day for her. Her face was a mess, I could see a black eye forming that went well with her badly ripped apart lip, with matched the bone in her nose, I could see patches of her hair missing and scratches down her arms and legs. The huge bite marks in her skin couldn't have been made by a vampire.
"What time is it?" I called to Damon.
"Three." He growled. It was obvious he wanted me to continue doing what I was supposed to be doing. But I couldn't. Me biting would only lessen her blood the venom wasn't seeping in.
"Go get Isabelle!" I ordered. I saw him tense at first, probably not happy I was ordering but then he nodded and disappeared from sight. I turned back to Pam. She looked so terrible, I wanted to rip apart whoever did this.
"Oh my god! What happened?!" I heard a new voice exclaim. I looked and saw Isabelle running towards us.
"Isabelle, she was attacked. Anything you can do to fix her, even just a little would help. My venom can't get into the wound. It's caked with blood and flesh." I explained. She had a look of terror on her face. I hoped she would snap out if it to help us.
"Rose candle, vampire blood, holy water." she listed walking towards me. Damon nodded and returned within seconds with a candle, a vile of holy water, a lighter, knife, and a bowl.
"Ok light the candle. Damon I'm gonna need a few drops of your blood, holy water into the bowl please." She intructed as she pushed her hair out if her face.
Damon listened and lit the candle first, handing it to her. She took it and watched patiently. I was not happy they were being so slow, Pam was on the verge of death.
Damon cut himself and mixed five or six drops of his blood with the water. Isabelle dripped the candle wax around Pam and gave me a look that meant 'move'. I left the circle and she entered.
She started muttering words I didn't recognize and making different gestures. Then she took to bowl witht the mixture and started pouring it on her wounds. I was astonished as I watched her skin heal by itself. The beauty of having a witch around.
"This didn't do anything about her internal injuries. Help her." She commanded me, walking away. Damon nodded at me and I jumped over to her.
I looked at her now clean skin that had no scars. At that point I realized how lucky we were to have a witch. I leaned down and bit her again and this time I tasted her blood instead of torn flesh. I knew my venom had found it's way in and was helping her. Unfortunately I still had to take her blood and there wasn't much left.
I took as little as possible then but my own wrist allowing blood to flow out. I raised her mouth to my wrist and tried to make her drink. She wasn't responding. Her mouth filled with the red liquid but she didn't swallow.
"She won't swallow." I called to the other two her were standing and watching me the while time.
"I guess we were to late." Isabelle whispered. She wasn't crying but I could see her eyes filling with tears. I wasn't giving up that easily.
