"Fuck!"
Her sudden outburst of the curse word and banging the desk with her fist surprised her class, their attention all on her, the unkempt girl with thick glasses. It was in the middle of class as well, and the teacher was flabbergasted.
Selina Choi was a loner. That's what people normally know. Her long black hair was messy and unruly. She wears a blue oversized hoodie that she found on top of her laundry that was very comfortable to wear and proceeds to wear it days on end. Her glasses were prescriptions, and based on the thickness she has very bad eyesight, and the main reason was from constantly hardcore gaming.
"Ms. Choi?" The teacher called out to her with a frown.
"Sorry, I just... Felt frustrated with a math question." She reasoned with a shrug. The teacher sighed and brushed it off. "Please pay more attention in class, Ms. Choi. I hope with that your grades could go up more."
With that, most of the class sniggered. Selina just rolled her eyes and continued what she was doing, under her desk.
Selina Choi wasn't a troublemaker, but she was lazy, her grades were awful, and sleeps most of the time in class if she weren't on her phone. She looks like she haven't showered for at least three days (probably a reality), and she was always alone in class.
Mira Kim tried to befriend her, the angel she was. She tried approaching Selina and asking her stuff, just like friends would, but Selina would only give short, clipped answers as she never left her eyes from her phone at least once. She was so obsessed, and the only time her eyes left the screen was on lunch time, and before Mira could ask her if they could eat lunch together, Selina was out of the classroom as soon as it rang.

"Yo,"
"Hi." Selina stopped chewing and looked up to the face of her only friend, Nathan Joo. He was carrying his lunch tray and two cans of soda, one to give to her.
"Thanks," Selina took one can and immediately opened it.
"How's life in the Fashion department?" Her friend smiled. Selina put the soda can down and sighed.
"So-so." She continued eating.
Nathan frowned at this.
"You're still not making friends?"
Selina stayed silent, then put down her spoon.
"You know how I feel about 'friends', Nathan..."
"Well, you're friends with me, right?" He smiled. She actually smiled too.
"You were very persistent! And clingy." She pouted. She may complain about it, but she secretly likes it.
"I'm not gonna betray you, Sel, like they would." He always assured her with sentences like that. Selina bit her lip out of habit.
"I know, you've already been with me for almost ten years now."
"Seven. I thought you were good at math."
"Was it in 4th grade?" Nathan hummed as he remembered the harsh stuff that she went through.
"Hell of my life. I'm surprised that I passed Middle School with you."
Nathan grinned. "Middle school was you and me against the world, Sel. Now you're already in High School and I think it's time to maybe... Give it a chance, ya know? Find new friends and all that. Since I'm not always there with you."
"You betrayed me when you went to the Vocal and Dance department, traitor!"
"What do you mean? Music has always been my passion!" Nathan argued.
