Daniel wasn't the only one scouted by PTJ. Apparently Selina and Nathan had been scouted as well, as they have seen various performances of them. Selina was about to reject auditioning when Nathan said that they could try.

So they did. Selina still didn't like it and declined when they accepted her as a trainee. Nathan also declined since he wasn't as good as a singer, and after that he started focusing more on creating new music.
