xiv. romantic notte world with eli

Notte World was fun. Selina had managed to drag Nathan around on rides, and Nathan didn't have the heart to tell her that he was scared of them. Eventually Nathan managed to escape Selina's clutches and spent his time with Duke. But because of that, many guys had approached Selina and asked for her number. She never got people approaching her for her number before her style change this year.

Selina declined politely, saying that she doesn't share her numbers with strangers. Some were dejected and stopped trying after that, yet some were trying so hard to get into her pants.

Thankfully she was saved by Eli!

"Is there a problem here?" He had approached them and stood close to Selina. The guys noticed that he was wearing the same uniform as Selina and was wary because Eli was good looking.

"Ah, w-we're just asking for her number--"

"I already said no." Selina crossed her arms, impatient, then turned to Eli to whisper in his ear, "They're wasting my time and blocking my way to the rides..."

Eli whispered back, "I'll help you, trust me on this okay?"

Selina nodded. Eli then put an arm around her shoulders and turned back to the boys with a shuddering smile.

"Look man, we just want her number!"

"My girlfriend doesn't need to give her number to you when she already has mine," Eli says sweetly. Selina nodded and leaned closer to him, following along with his plan.

"G-Girlfriend?!"

"Y-You're his boyfriend?!"

"If you boys would be kind enough to move out of the way, my girlfriend," He emphasizes, "Would want to go to the spinning cups. You all have been blocking her way."

The boys quickly parted like the red sea, letting the 'couple' through and queued at the spinning cups ride.

"Thanks, Eli." Selina smiled as he put his arm down from her shoulder.

"No problem. I know what it feels like."

Selina turned around from the queue and saw girls looking at Eli with heart eyes.

"I guess they're following you too?" Selina asked.

"Everywhere. But they started backing off when I approached you though."

"Ah, the boys are still following me as well." Selina sighed. "I'm not quite used to this."

"Probably because you changed your style," Eli reasoned. "What made you do it anyways?"

"Just thinking maybe I could try making my life better. Nathan has been nagging me that I play my games too much and I need to touch some grass. So he told me the first thing I could do is take care of my appearance since I'm a Fashion Department student."

"Well, I could say you have a really nice style." Eli complimented.

"I think you do too. I've only seen you once not in uniform though, so I can't really judge the rest."

The two laughed, then heard the gasps from their stalkers behind them. They were trying to hide that they were following the two, but it really didn't work, making Selina sigh.

"Shall we play pretend much longer?" Eli suggested.

"And have a +1 to accompany me in the rides? Hell yeah!"

"I think they are not convinced that we are a couple." Selina pointed out as she saw more figures in the corner.
