"Hey Selina--"
"No."
"I haven't even said anything yet!" Nathan complained. Selina grinned. It was lunch time and Selina was in a playful mood.
"I know you're up to something, Nathan!" She chuckled, "Just tell me what you want."
"...Okay, please hear me out first," He started reluctantly. Selina motioned to go on.
"You know how I'm like your... Best friend, right?"
Selina blinked her eyes. Oh. They never really used the best friend card with each other so she didn't really know how to feel. Elated, maybe?
"Yes, go on..."
"And we'd do things for each other..."
"Nate, just get to the point." Selina said annoyedly.
"I made a song, and the festival's coming soon... Canyoupleaseperformthesongonstageformeplease?" He said the last part rather quickly.
"Come again? Slower please."
"Can you please perform the song on stage for me please?" He said much slower this time, his hand in a prayer.
"Why me? You have other people in your class that can sing. I'm in the fashion major. And I'm thinking of skipping that day to sleep." Selina said honestly.
"What!? You can't skip!!! I made the song with you in mind. I can't sing. You're my muse for the song. If it's not you, I'm gonna have to redo the whole song again!" Nathan whined.
"Who told you to make me your muse?! It's your own fault!" Selina pointed out. Nathan deflated on the table, feeling hopeless. Selina sighed at this.
"Look, I've never performed in front of people before. I'm not a Vocal and Dance major, my best skill is playing games."
"But you learn quick!" He argued.
"How about," Selina bargained, "You find someone else," Nathan pouted at this, "But I be their understudy. In case something happens or whatnot."
Nathan actually beamed at that.
"Deal." He took her hand by surprise and shook it. Nathan then quickly ate his food, said his goodbyes, and went on around to ask if they would perform his song for the festival.
She then saw him talking to a classmate of his (if she remembered his name correctly) was named Duke Pyeon. Apparently he was bullied by Vin Jin and his gang. Nathan can't really do anything since he was not that strong, so he tries talking to him once in a while. Selina heard that Duke was a pleasant guy, plus he was super talented in music. They discuss about it a lot and Selina took a note at that.
Selina felt bad as she rejected Nathan, but she swears he's up to something as she saw that smirk of his as he shared his plan with Duke.

It was a rare day that Selina goes out in an afternoon run. There was a special event in Pokemon Go, so after school she went around town to find the rare Pokemon until the sky turned orange.
She was also hungry, and thankfully she found a tteokbokki stand near where she was. A grandmother was attending it.
Selina had eaten 5 sticks and they were delicious, moreover, warm. The grandmother caught her shivering and kindly refilled her broth cup.
"These are good, Halmoni!" She praised.
"Thank you. Are you from Jaewon High School?" The grandmother asked with a smile.
