"Selina Choi..." His eyes widened as he saw her. She looked very different since they last saw each other in the rain. He looked different too, The cut on his lip from Selina's butterfly knife, his teeth that Gun had pulled out was now put back, and his hair cropped.
"Jake Kim..." She greeted, crossing her arms. Her eyes trailed to the number on his chest and sighed as it was 0706, like the date of something important that has passed in her life.
"You sent me a letter on my birthday."
"Hm..." Selina looked anywhere but him.
"It said, 'Happy Birthday, I hope you rot in prison'. I thought you hated me, and I can live with that, but why are you here now?"
"You birthday was months ago, you jerk. A lot of things happened. If you don't want me here, I'll just go." Selina started to stand up, but Jake quickly answered,
"No, no, sit down. I don't mind..."
Selina sat down again, and the two were silent.
"Why were you with Gun that night?" He asked with a stern look on his face as he crossed his arms.
"Why were you doing illegal gambling?" Selina answered back with a question, following Jake by crossing her arms as well. Jake had sighed at her stubborness, knowing he won't get his answers before she got hers.
"You won't understand--"
Selina had banged her hands on the table, repeating the words of the night they had met again, "How can I understand when you won't tell me?!"
Jake stayed silent.
"At first, when you joined Big Deal, I was very worried for you. But seeing how you got happier during those times--" Selina admitted.
"Even after we had the big fight?" Jake had cut her off in the middle of her sentence.
"I've known you since we were kids. How can I just forget you that easily? I once went to Gangseo to see what you were doing. Even if you're surrounded by gangsters, When you were happy, I was happy for you too. Even if I resented you a little. I left knowing you were happy with them, and knowing you were left in good hands. Jerry Kwon even joined you."
"You went to Gangseo?"
"I don't need to repeat myself. All I'm asking is why you fell from grace and caused one of my classmates going crazy from gambling and attempt murder on my other classmate?"
"Ah. You're classmates with Jiho Park."
"You ruined his life and some other people's lives too. Are you happy with that?"
"As long as I get money, I don't care about other people."
"What the fuck? If you need money you could just ask me. How much do you need anyways?"
"5 billion,"
"...Are you on debt?"
"No. I need that money to get someone back." He finally answered honestly.
"They're worth 5 billion?"
"He sold himself for 1 billion to the Workers. I became Big Deal's number one not long after and a candidate as Gun's successor, but I was out the night you and him came together to get me." Jake had looked furious at this point.
"...Because you did illegal gambling, and that means you didn't follow Gun's recquirement. So you're trying to buy back Big Deal's number one from the Workers?" Selina concluded.
"Yes, his name is Sinu Han. Nobody knows this except me... And now you."
"So he's the one that made you join Big Deal. He must've mean a lot to you huh..." Selina trailed off.
