xix. smile and distraction

Things had died down in a while, and Selina was quite happy. She even came to school earlier, and was surprised to see small Daniel in big Daniel's seat.

"Oh, hi Danny. Covering up for Daniel?" She asked with a chuckle. "But why do you look like you're hiding?"

Daniel looked scared now. "I... Uh..."

"Don't worry. I'm just joking." Selina shook her head in amusement. "I'll be right at my desk sleeping. Have fun in school!"

And with that, Selina had slept through the ruckus.

Selina didn't notice that Crystal's sister was here. Their names were the same which confused her even more. But before she could greet her, Zoe had dragged her to see Mary Kim, and coincidentally Joy Hong was there as well.

Turns out they were asking for love advice. It was funny.

Smile, and distracting him.

No wonder Mira (unknowingly) got Zack around her finger. The guy was kneeling for her already.

"Men are simple creatures! They are just hopeless romantic." Mary explained. "They go nuts for a girl who smiles for them. Like this."

Mary did look really cute when she smiled.

"[Distracting him] is a skill that makes a guy care about you being around him... It works betrer if you arouse his father instincts..."

"What." Selina gaped at her explanation.

"Huh? What?" Zoe was confused too.

"...Mary...?" Joy blinked her eyes.

But in the end, they all tried it out anyways. And from that, Selina had found out that Zoe liked little Daniel, and Crystal too. Joy was only there for fun since big Daniel wasn't at school.

By lunch, Selina could see how smitten the girls were, especially Zoe, when little Daniel had saved her from tripping. Joy eventually was smitten too, not long after that.

"Damn, little Daniel is picking up all the girls today." Selina chuckled. Nathan saw where she was looking at and laughed as well.

"Look at Vasco and Zack behind them. They're crying!" He pointed out.

Selina took out her phone camera and snapped a picture.

"Ah~ So funny."

Selina had a wicked plan. She should try out Mary's advice on someone, and that someone coincidentally was Gun.

"Gun~" Selina hugged his arm as she leaned her head on his shoulder, looking up to him and fluttering her eyes prettily. They were casually lounging in her living rook sofa one afternoon, and it was a wonder Gun had free time.

"Hm? What do you want?" He asked, confused why Selina was being very clingy.

"Should we go out to eat? We always eat here. Don't you feel bored?"

"Aren't you the one who likes staying home?"

"So you don't want to go?" Selina pouted.

"I'm quite satisfied in what we are doing now." He smirked as he rubbed his hand on her waist up and down. Selina quickly detached herself from him and stood up, smiling.

"Alright, I'll go myself then. You can stay here and wait."

Without saying another word, Selina grabbed her phone, wallet, and bag, then went out of her apartment, leaving Gun flabbergasted by the sudden turn of events.
