Christmas special

Snow, so beautiful to look at yet when you want to touch it, it makes your hands freeze

That's what Y/N thought while she was looking outside her rooms window. She didn't like the cold weather, it made her missions harder but she woul be lying if she said she didn't like watching the snow, watching happy families playing outside. It made her think that all the danger she was going through was worth it.

A knock on her door took her attention from the window. The door opened revealing a small girl with pink hair and green eyes which were sparkling. Today was the first Christmas the Forger family was celebrating, so that meant it was Anya's first Christmas outside the orphanage she used to stay. Even tho she was adopted before she didn't stay long with the families they adopted her.

- Auntie! Auntie! It's time for the tree!

- Right, I'm coming.
You said giving her a small smile

The leaving room was already decorated but your brother now bought a Christmas tree, leaving it for last. Watching Anya jumping excited made everyone chuckle.
Christmas, the holiday which everyone give gifts to their loved once and spend time with each other... A holiday which you never celebrate before. Together with Anya, this was also your first Christmas. You would think that spies celebrate holidays, you thought wrong. The only thing spies would celebrate is their victory and they would celebrate by doing another mission.

You sat on the couch with your niece waiting for your brother to show up with the tree. Yor also sat with you, also excited.

- I remember me and Yuri loves to decorate the house for Christmas

She said nostalgically

Suddenly, the door of the apartment opened, revealing a gigantic tree with a surprising, also excited Loid behind it. Sure Loid had celebrate Christmas before but he was so young he barely remembers anything. It also was his first holiday he would celebrate with his little sister.
Celebrating this holiday meant a different thing for each one in this family

First experience, a childhood memory, something nostalgic

TIME SKIP

It was already midnight, the tree was ready. The lights on it were bright and hypnotic. Anya and Bond were watching them glow while you, Loid and Yor were preparing the Christmas table before he would come.
That's right, Yuri would eat with them today. It was Christmas after all, he was supposed to be with his sister today.
Some time passed and the food was finally ready, together with the table. Not minutes after the younger Briar knocked at the door making his presence known.
Yor opened the door to greet her little brother, both happy to see each other. As the man stepped in his eyes fell to the rest of the Forger family. Greeting everyone with less excitement but he was still happy.

Firstly, he walked up to Loid. Giving him some bags

- Those are your presents... He said

That sentence surprised everyone ( except from Yor ). Yuri Briar, the man who made it clear that he didn't like Loid bought him presents... Not one but many. The same did for Anya and of course you. It was clear that the person who got the most was Yor, you following close second.
After some small talks, which were made by the Briar siblings everyone sat at the table, enjoying Loid's cooking.

- Brother, delicious as always.
You said as you turned to look at him
Anya still eating, nodding at your statement and Yor giving her husband her usual closed eye smile.

Yuri was staring at his plate mumbling at small
"It's good I guess"
Translation: it's delicious

The truth is that Yuri didn't hate Loid, not anymore. Sure, at first he didn't like the idea of his sister being married but after interacting more with the family he knew that this man was the best choice his sister could made.

After the dinner, Anya decided to show Yuri her vocabulary test. The number that was on the paper wasn't really good but it was true that with his help she improved quite a lot. This made Yuri satisfied and the praises that his sister gave him made him even more happy.
After hours it was time he would have to say goodbye once more to all of you. The truth is that he didn't want to but he had to go home.

You decide to walking him to the door, wanting to talk to him alone after all this time. He turned to look at you with a smile on his face.

- Thank you for having me today. Merry Christmas Y/N!
- Merry Christmas Yuri! It was a pleasure to have you with us today.

He placed his hand on the door knob, ready to opened the door. He really didn't want to leave, not know that he was talking to you.
Looking also for an opportunity for you to say something more you looked up. Your eyes falling on at smile plant you now notice.

A  mistletoe?

Like God was on your side, wanting him to stay at least for a few seconds you body moved on his own.
Quickly, you grabbed his face and turned his head to face you again. Ready to question what you were doing, you caught him off guard by put your lips on top of his. Just for a second both of you stopped breathing.

After you pulled away from him, both of your faces red. He was looking at you with wide eyes. When he stopped looking at you he looked up to see the mistletoe than back at you. He was still blushing but he had calmed down a little bit.

He grabbed the door knob again but this time he wasn't facing the door but you.

He smiled bigger than before, more calmer by any second. He opened the door and finally said

- Thanks for the gifts. I'll make sure to treasure it forever.

With ever courage you had you opened your mouth and said

- You better be...
