Chapter 73

Sameer entered the room with a plate of food as his mother advised him to carry food for Naina in the room. He stood at the threshold and found her sitting on the bed and looking in a particular direction with an emotionless face.

As Naina heard the clicking sound of the door, her gaze shifted at the door. She saw Sameer stood at the door and she kept looking at him with a hope, he would say something to her as after returning the school he had not said anything even not scold her for her negligence.

Sameer noticed her face was pale and a fear was written on her face. Seeing this his heart pierced to push her in this condition. He weakened to see her quiet and his heart cried out knowing his Naina scared of him. He shattered again thinking of her pain and was verge of breaking but composed himself only for her. If he became weak then how would he be recover from her condition, this thought made him strong. He wiped his unshed tears and approached her with his usual smiling.

He kept the plate in front of her and requested in a soft voice. "Naina khana kha lo... phir tumhe medicine bhi leni hai ."

She was surprised seeing his calm and caring behaviour. She obligated his request and started to eat but he stopped her and fed her with his own hand. Her heart delighted to see his care after age and she finished her dinner looking at him. He gave her medicine and made her lie down saying. "Naina so jao."

He got up from the bed and held the plate from the side table. He went towards the door.

Seeing him going towards the door, her heart sank, her face dropped and tears were about to pool up from her eyes but she hold back it. As Sameer had come this room after many days, this had given her a hope that everything will be well. She thought with pain. "Mai kaise bhul gayi ki mummy aayi hui hai isliye ye itna pyaar dikha rahe hai varna to ye iss room me aate bhi nahi aur mai soch rahi thi sab theek ho jayega." Her happiness and smile had gone that had come back some time ago.

Once Sameer reached the door, he looked back her, she was just staring him. He kept the plate on the table beside of the door and locked the door. Then he settled beside her on the bed and took a glimpse of her that she turned her head other side. Seeing her ignoring him, he shut his eyes in pain thinking she hates him that she reverted her face. He sat rested his head on the headboard and he was staring her back while pondering what he do that he could make a place in her heart and would normalize her like earlier.

Other side Naina muttered convincing herself that he was stayed in this room just to show his mother that everything to be okay or he would stay with her till Vishakha stay here. It thought gave a immense pain in her heart and she loosened her hope that everything will be well between them. She was thinking, he had not forgotten her mistake.

Sameer was wanted to take her in his arms but a ackwardness occurred between them. He thought at first he would admit his mistake and then he would proceed their relationship once she forgive him. He called out her name but she didn't answer. Not getting any response from her, he turned her face towards him and a smile appeared on his face seeing her sleeping.

"Naina maine jane anjane me tumhe jitne dukh diye hai wo sab mai mita dunga aur hum fir se pahle jaise ek nayi shuruaat karenge tum dogi na mera saath." He asked with her sleeping figure and kissed her forehead.

The next morning Naina's sleep was disturbed by the bright sunray, that peeked through the window and fell straight on her beautiful face. She caught a glimpse beside her as she opened her eyes and her heart beat stopped for a second seeing his place was empty and she wondered that he must have left her at midnight and went to the study room. But she shrugged off this thought seeing the balcony door open. She went to the balcony to search him, and she again distressed seeing to find it vacant. She entered the room with defeatedly. But her track stopped at the sight in front of her. Her breath hitched and she stared the sight which was making her tremble but was also giving pleasure somewhere.
