Pandit arrived at the college on time to pick up Naina. It was just ten minutes later when Sameer left the college. Naina amazed to see Pandit in early, but she did not say anything. Naina sattled on the passenger seat. Naina was delighted and just wanted to reach Preeti as soon as possible. She wanted to share her special moment with Preeti and too wanted tell that her love Sameer proposed to her today. Her Sameer was back in her life. She was lost in herself and did not notice the frown line on Pandit's face, as she sat inside the car.
As they were just covered the one third way to their going home, Naina noticed that his face looked sad and not a single sign of a smile was visible. She wondered to see him silent like opposite the other day. In these two day when she returned home with him, she did not know when they reached home due to his nonstop chatting. But he had not spoken a single words today since she was sitting next to him. At first she did not notice it as she was lost in her dream world. After a while she noticed this silent and she could not resist herself to ask his problem.
"Jija ji aap kuch tension me lag rahe hai, kya problem hai?... Office se related hai kya?" She looked at him with curiosity.
Pandit cleared her curiosity. "Naina... Office ki problem nahi hai... Wo aaj dopahar me Preeti ki tabiyat kharab ho gayi thi." He informed her that Preeti health was deteriorated.
Hearing Pandit's, Naina got tense and panicked. "Morning me to bilkul thik thi, phir kaise ye sab?...Ab kaisi hai?" She started to stutter and could not manage to speak the whole sentence when she came to knew that Preeti was not well.
"Aaj lunch time me hamari neighbour Komal ka call aaya tha...ki Preeti behosh ho gai hai, maine turant doctor ko phone kiya aur ghar gaya... Doctor ne check up karke bataya hai... Kamjori ho gai hai, kuch blood test karawane ko recommend kiye hai...but Preeti abhi thik hai... aur mai tumhe lene aa gaya." He said in a gentle voice while looking at her stressed face.
"Jijaji aap ko Preeti ko chhodkar nahi aana chahiye tha, mai aa jati... aap college phone kar dete." She said in understanding manner.
"Tumhe yanha ke raste pata nahi hai, akele kaise aati?... aur abhi Preeti thik hai uske saath Komal hai, hamare pahuchne tak rahegi tum chinta mat karo." He reassured her.
After that Naina fell silent and stared out the window. She forget everything and wanted to reach her as soon as possible but this time only to see her. After half an hour they arrived in the society and Naina ran to see her beloved sister who was the most important person in her life.
When she entered the house and went staightly to Preeti room. Preeti lay on the bed and her eyes were closed. Komal was sitting in a chair next to the bed and looked at Naina with a daze. Pandit just arrived after parking the car and sensed the confusion on her face.
Pandit cleared her confusion. "Komal ji ye Preeti ki sister hai, Naina... abhi training ke liye aayi hui hai. Aap ko bhi ghar me kam honge, aap jaiye hum dono ab Preeti ki care kar lenge... aap ne bahut saath diya aur sahi time pe inform kar diya... Thank you Komal ji."
"Isme thank you bolne jaisa kuch tha nahi, maine to ek padosi ka farj nibhaya hai aur Preeti meri bahan jaisi hai uske liye itna to kar hi sakti hu....Ha agar kisi bhi help ki zarurat ho to bina sankoch ke batayenge... badi bahan samajh ke." She showed the genuine concern towards them.
Komal walked out of the room but when she reached the main door, turned back and said.
"Mai aap sab ke liye rat ka khana bana ke bhijawa deti hu."
Pandit immediately replied " thanks for concern but iski zarurat nahi hai hum manage kar lenge... Please aap bura mat maniyega, aapne bahut help ki hai, aur aapko hum pareshan nahi karna chahate hai." He denied her offer in polite way.
