The new day had started with new enthusiasm but Sameer was sitting with some confusion.
"Naina iss file me sab reports hai na." Sameer asked flipping the file. He was observing the every page in the file from last 10 minutes.
"Sab reports hai kal raat hi maine check kar liye the Sameer...aap kyo ise lekar baithe hai. Jakar ready ho jaiye." Naina went towards the sofa and frustrated seeing him still in night dress.
"Jaa raha hun... bhadak kyo rahi ho." He got up and went towards the closet scrunching his mouth.
"Kyonki late ho gaye to appointment chali jayegi phir evening shift me appointment lena padega." Naina replied while closing the file and left the room.
Sameer came to the dinning table after getting ready. He sat on the chair as Naina and Deepika already sat there while waiting to him.
Naina served aalu paratha to Sameer and Deepika's plate with curd. She also took two paratha for herself. Seeing her plate Sameer stopped her. "Naina tum ye khaogi."
He ordered to Ramdhari. "Tum Naina ke liye fruits aur juice leke aao....uske baad veg daliya bana do."
Naina was baffled by Sameer's strict diet.
"Mai aalu paratha hi khaungi.... mujhse roj roj boiled khana nahi khaya jata." She looked at Sameer making a sad face. "Doctor ne aisa koi diet suggest nahi kiya hai."
"Maine padha tha ki pregnant lady ko heavy food nahi lena chahiye, jitna ho sake light food aur jyada pani lena chahiye." Sameer shared his information with a calm voice.
"Aap na apni kitabi gyan apne pass rakhiye...mai aaj paratha hi khaungi." She remained adamant to take aalu paratha and stopped Ramdhari to make daliya.
She dipped the paratha in curd and taking it close to her mouth, just Sameer declared in a warning tone.
"Soch lo agar tum ye paratha khayi to aaj bahar ka kuch khane ko nahi milega... tumhari favourite panipuri bhi nahi."
She put the piece back in the plate and said to Ramdhari bring the fruits and daliya as she had known Sameer, he was very strict about her diet.
She started the fruits with a gloomy face but her eyes went again and again on her plate. Seeing her sad face Sameer fed her, a bite of paratha of his plate and he again fed her two more times.
"Dil bhar gaya." He asked and she shook her head in no making a puppy face but he stated. "Aaj ke liye bahut hai."
Naina's attention went to her not tasty food with a dejected look.
Sameer glanced at Deepika. "Deepika tum bhi hamare saath hospital chalo aur wapsi me hum sab kahi achchhi jagah ghumne jayenge."
"Thank you bhaiya." Deepika delighted and she flung around his neck. He caressed her cheek and ordered. "Go fast."
"Deepika ghar me bore ho jati hai... apne theek kiya...use bhi achcha lagega." Naina was too happy and finished her so called not tasty daliya.

"Sameer aur kitna time lagega...aadhe ghante se wait kar rahe hai...kab hamara number aayega." Naina was bored while sitting at the out of the doctor's cabin.
"Naina Dr. Meera Joshi Ahmedabad ki best gynecologist hai... isliye inke paas bheed rahti hai, bas kuch der aur phir tumhari hi baari hai." Sameer consoled her and wrapped his arms around her shoulder.
"Sameer mujhe dar lag raha hai sab theek to hoga na....i mean hamara bachha." She touched her stomach.
"Tum kyo itni tension leti ho, ye tumhare aur bachhe dono ke liye sahi nahi hai...aur rahi baat bachche ki to tumhari tarah healthy hoga." Sameer assured her that everything will be good.
