That night was Christmas' Eve.You and Rebecca,his younger sister,were at the club waiting for the boys.Finally the first Christmas after the end of WWII.You stared impatiently at the entrance door,sighing to anyone coming in who wasn't Bucky. "Don't worry,I heard a conversation with Steve,both whispering.I think wheels are in motion",Rebecca giggled getting your attention for a minute. "Merry Christmas to the most beautiful dolls in the city!" Steve and Bucky suddenly appeared,putting their hands over your eyes, "and to the most handsome soldiers too",you answered laughing.
The 4 of you were so excited to be together after a long time. "Come with me,baby girl,I got you a present",you followed Bucky under the mistletoe next to the piano stage.A hand hugging you close & the other holding yours "this is my promise.I'll never leave you.Be mine for the rest of our life". Tears in his open wide ocean eyes "Yes.Bucky.Yes!", you joined in such a tender kiss you didn't realize his fingers touching the length of yours with something cold. "You're my Christmas present.forever",Bucky whispered through the kiss. "Let's hear it for the future Mr & Mrs Barnes!" Steve and Rebecca screamed from the bar counter.Reopening your eyes,you saw the engagement ring "Oh my God,Mrs Barnes?!I am ready to be,ever after!". Steve & Rebecca came closer showing the one he gave to her.
You and Rebecca hugged while Steve & Bucky gave each other a pat on the shoulder "good job,pal,now we both have a problem...", "Well..I think so" Bucky giggled "Of course we have,we should marry on the same day!",you answered, "You are all invited,folks!" Bucky & Steve announced to the customers.Shouts & congratulations followed.
That was really the perfect Christmas..love was in the air!❤️>>
