I accepted to be the main female character in the new Christmas movie "Love from faraway" 6 months ago and now filming was going to start next week. I didn't know Sebastian Stan in person, only watching some of his movies to see his way of acting and I had been really surprised: he was able to become every character they asked him for and that made me very proud and curious! This was the reason why I took some time to give my final yes and sign the contract.

That morning we were going to start at 10, the story was set in New England, inspired by Nicholas Sparks' books. The plot in broad terms was: Grace and Alex had met at a Thanksgiving dinner where they were the only two singles, she was independent after a failed marriage with no children and he was a divorced father of an 8-year-old daughter named Sally. Two totally opposite characters which led them to a funny back-and-forth conversation: at the end of it they couldn't stand each other. One day Grace's car had a break down right in front of Alex's garage and she called him for help...

The baby girl who played Sally was so cute Sebastian and I both fell in love with her, for me it was not easy to act the opposite, me as Grace hated children but after reading the script I found out Sally was able to break down her reluctance. In real life I had been hoping to have children with Steve, my ex boyfriend, but he was not so much into it: that was the main reason for our break-up. We were filming the moment when Sally jumped into Alex' arms while we were talking outside the school she attended – we had met by chance as I came out of the "who's her, papa?" she asked and Sebastian aka Alex holding her "darling, she is a customer from my garage. Her name is Grace". I looked into Sebastian's eyes and didn't realize I was giving a little slap on the wrist to Sally "what are you doing, Lily?" Elizabeth - her real name - asked me astonished. I turned my eyes to her "oh...oh....I'm sorry...I was over thinking and..." Sebastian took my hand "shall we have a break? Maybe you only need a coffee", I nodded to the question. "Ok, cut it. We'll do it again later", I heard Garry (Marshall) shouting to the whole crew. Sebastian put Elizabeth down "would you mind going to ask for a chocolate and two coffees for me and Lily, honey? Thank you, sweetheart", after she left he walked with me to one side of the set: "hey, what happened? Are you ok?" I started crying and covered my face into the hands "Lily...Come on...Take a deep breath and tell me what the matter is. Did I do anything wrong? Please..."

"I don't know what happened to me...for a moment I turned into myself and my mother's instinct came out..." I answered still sobbing. Sebastian took both my hands "did Sally awake any painful memories on you?" how right he was! Sally on my mind was the baby girl I had to get rid of at the 3rd month and to make things worse, Steve had never been aware of it, he was firm in his belief about not wanting children: I had kept that secret in my heart for so long and by that time it popped up! "You told me you didn't have any children, am I right?" Sebastian asked me, I waited then answered "It was a lie. I had been a mother for 3 months...without holding my Eve in the arms even once!" my tears started shedding again. Sebastian's hug comforted me "Oh God, did you get an abortion, right? I mean, sorry if I am intrusive but...did you both agree on it?" I shook my head without saying a word "damn! Which man would be so cruel to push his woman to do such a thing against her will?!" Sebastian added a little shocked.

"Please don't tell anyone...may we start another scene? maybe we can try it again tomorrow. I'll be fine, I promise..." Sebastian looked at my face pretending to believe it was true "are you sure about this?" "don't worry, I'm an actor no matter what". Garry walked closer to us "Are you ok, Lily?" I smiled "Yes, sorry for that, I think tomorrow this scene will come much more better. which is the next one?" and I followed him whispering "thank you" to Sebastian.

The days went by and we reached the last week, I had no more setbacks but between Sebastian and me something had changed from that day: he was more protective over me, it looked like our "fake relationship" had turned into something real , that reflected on the crew's behaviour as well because everyone was smiling at or crying or suffering with us through the story. Elizabeth looked at us all the time and treated Sebastian and I as we were a family for real, we had naturally become "mama and papa" for her and she used to call us that way even behind the scenes or in the movie chat; we returned our affection to her with "honey, sweetheart, princess" and other pet names. The last day Grace and Alex were getting married, I was in the changing room busy getting into the wedding gown with costume designer when Elizabeth came in and screamed "Mommy you're so beautiful! you look like a queen!" she walked slowly behind my shoulders to look at me in the mirror and I took her hand smiling "Thank you, honey! You're my princess and always will be. Maybe from tomorrow you can call me auntie, can't you?" Elizabeth laughed "I'm gonna miss you papa Sebastian and you so much. Promise me we'll keep in touch and meet once a year at least..." Sebastian suddenly got into the room "Count us in, love!" Elizabeth and I both shouted "you can't see the bride before the ceremony! Get out, papaaaaaaa!" she pretended to run after him and he left laughing "oh poor me...what did I do? Never get into a room full of women or they will kill you!" Elizabeth hugged me gently and followed him "see you later, mommy".

I was finally ready to walk down the aisle, all the actors guests waited for me in the church with Sebastian "three, two, one, hunter!" shouted Garry. Those few meters gave me the time to think about all the past weeks and Elizabeth was right, I was going to miss all of that and over all...Sebastian! He was the One and it was so crystal clear but...what about him? Was it everything on the script and he only made it more real? Jack, my fake father, kissed my cheek and entrusted me to him. Sebastian's wedding vows were "I'm so lucky to have you. My best friend, the woman in my life and...The mom to be of our children!" I took his hand and held it tight when we exchanged the rings "I am you and you are me" we both said at once. "Now you can kiss the bride" said the priest "Wait..." Sebastian stopped the ceremony and got closer to me "would you marry me for real, Grace?" I answered astonished "what did you say, Alex?"

"I'm serious; I don't want this to end today. I don't want to lose you. Maybe we can try to date and see what happens...I love you, Lily. I know it sounds surreal but...you're such an incredible woman! And I want you by my side. Please say yes..." I had a look around, everyone knew it was going to happen and waited only for my answer "did you call my real name,Seb? l mean.. YES YES YES...I fell the same. Of course, I mean...let's see what happens. I love you so much". The whole crew clapped and whistled of consent "now I have to cut it a little but...It was perfect! Let's close it with a REAL kiss and it's a wrap!" shouted Garry. Sebastian didn't wait to hear it twice, his hands softly grabbed my face "I do..." we both said before our lips sealed.

EPILOGUE: one year later, we met at Elizabeth's parents house for Thanksgiving, in NYC...at the end of the dinner we had an announcement "we're gonna be parents in 6 months! It's gonna be a baby girl and her name will be Sally". Elizabeth was so happy that ran to hug us "may I be her godmother, please...." Sebastian and I agreed looking at each other "how did you know it was the question we were about to ask you?"
