I was so excited to present my book in Paris tomorrow: it had been released 2 months ago and was still number 2 in the bestseller list. My name is Carrie Bradshaw and "Sex and the city" is my first work as a writer/journalist.

The taxi left me at the airport perfectly on time with the flight schedule, I looked for a cafeteria to buy breakfast even if on the plane I had first class seat, thanks to my Editor. That meant comfort and perfect sleep for all the 7 hours and a half! In Paris my room was booked at 5* category Hotel Costes near Place Vandome: sleeping in a luxury red velvet and golden brocade boudoir and having a relaxing hot bath in a king's tub was once in a lifetime every woman's dream! I bought my Mokacchino and a bran muffin at a small cafe; while I turned to walk towards the Check-in area I was busy putting the wallet back into my bag and didn't realize someone collided with me. I spilled all the liquid on my white t-shirt and got angry as it was very hot "oh nooooo!" a male voice answered my whimper "I'm so sorry...I was checking my phone for the flight departure time and didn't see you..May I buy you a new one or pay for the laundry service?"

I raised my eyes and saw a very handsome man with light blue eyes and short dark hair: he was wearing a black coat, a hoodie hiding a white shirt opened in the breastbone down as far as the zipper stopped and a pair of dark jeans. A very expensive Rolex watch made a fine show at his left wrist while he was taking the half empty paper glass from my hand to throw it away "please allow me to introduce myself, I am Max. And I'm sorry again for being such a hurry to cause this unpleasant accident..." he fixed me waiting for my name "...I am Carrie, nice to meet you Max. Don't worry, I always keep an extra change in my bag, just in case". I was going to make my way to the toilet but he stopped me "I insist, let me buy you a new one. And another coffee right after that" His stare looked so sincere and sweet that I gave up "Ok. Thank you, Max" and we walked side by side to the duty free area; "do you like Givenchy? Or please, up to you, I don't know your tastes..." "It is my favourite. How did you know it?!" I answered surprised; "I saw your shirt in a magazine, it belongs to the new SS collection by Givenchy" he said with a smile. We got into the shop and I bought another one, Max paid for it giving his black credit card to the shop assistant, who smirked and thanked him with too much emphasis "it was a pleasure your visit to our shop, Mr Burnett, please do come again soon!" He thanked and said goodbye in return.

I had a look at the time and my flight was in only about an hour "I think I gotta hurry up or I'll waste time at the security check. It was a pleasure and very kind of you" I gave my hand to shake his "where are you going? If I may ask" Max asked me with a little hope in his eyes. I waited than answered "Paris. I'm attending the presentation of my first book". Max smirked "well, we'll be on the same flight. I'm going to Paris on a business trip. I work in finance", "who knows, if our seats are one next to the other we'd better drink water only, if we spill it no one will get dirty" I fooled around and he laughed at my joke. We got to the security check and followed the line still chatting "may I see your passport, Madame?" the officer asked me and I gave it then showed my e-ticket tapping my mobile screen. "Thank you, enjoy your flight" I got through the metal detector and waited for my luggage "no other suitcase?" said the woman officer at the desk "no, I shipped it a couple of days before to the hotel by Dhl. You know, not to get lost or missed". I answered and Max right behind my shoulders "such a wise choice!" I turned to him "I don't want my Manolo to get lost somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean for anything in the world!" we both laughed and walked to the gate.

When the flight attendant called my row nr and seat I stood up and realized Max was following me "you see? I have row 6 Seat 10 and..." I opened my eyes wide "oh my...row 6 Seat 11...I'll be your side window neighbour, Mr Burnett" Max stared into my eyes "it'll be my pleasure..Mrs Bradshaw!"
