My Boyfriend's Brother - Chapter 8

Hailee's POV

Everyone was back in the house and after what happened with me and Damian , he didn't come out of his room. I waited for Kevin so I could take to him. I waited for another hour for him to return and when he did I asked him to come with me upstairs so we could talk.

"What do you want to talk about?" Kevin asked.
" I want to go home Kevin, " I paused for a moment.
" Alone" I added.
" Okay, so what is this all about really."he said.
" Please just hear me out first." I said
"I've changed Kevin and I want to end things between us. I'm not the girl who can make you happy and same thing goes to me. I want to thank you for all the good things you did to me but I want you to find the love you wanted. Your family is so nice to me and I will be forever grateful for that and they accepted to be a part. But I'm inlove with someone else. I'm inlove with Damian." There I said it.

"What? Wait , You're inlove with my brother?" He asked and I could see his fist that he wanted to go and hit him. I held his arms and tried to calm him down , I don't want to make a scene.

" He didn't do anything Kevin , it was me. Belive me I tried to stop my feelings but it didn't. I know it's wrong. I don't want you to ruin your relationship with Damian because he is your brother. I don't love you anymore and it is him that I love now but he doesn't feel the same way about me. That's why I' m leaving . I couldn't stay here any longer. I'm so sorry Kevin. " I could see he calmed down at my words. I hugged him and said.
"Thank you so much for everything and I'm so sorry." I said and let go.

"Can you explain to them why you are leaving?" Kevin asked.
"Actually no. I mean I don't know." I said fiddling my fingers.
"Okay. Just tell them your work needs you this urgent so that's why you have to leave. I'll be the one to tell them about this and I'll talk to Damian." Kevin said.

"Thank you so much Kevin.Promise me you won't hurt each other okay? You two are family." I told him and he nodded. I knew he will understand me at the end of the day.

" Hailee I'm sorry for everything I did wrong. I hope you'll forgive me."Kevin said.

Kevin slept at the guest room and I couldn't wait to go home after everything happend.

The next morning I have my bags packed and bid everyone goodbye. I told them that I need to go back for work like what Kevin said. I didn't see Damian so I just left without a word to him.

3 weeks later and everything went okay. Kevin came to the apartment where we used to live and took his belongings and so did I. He moved into his own apartment and I also moved to a new apartment to make a fresh start. Everything changed but there was one thing that still hadn't change , and that was my feelings for Damian. I still love him.

One day I was at my apartment fixing my stuff when I heard a knock on the door. I fixed myself and went to openit. When I opened the door , there was Damian standing in front of me. I was completely shocked , what was he doing here and how did he find me . I remember telling Brianna where I lived now after they found out about everything and tbey understand me.

"Damian? What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I wanted to talk to you. Can I come in?" He asked.
I let him and into the living room.
"So what do you want to talk about?" I asked.

"After you left ,  I wanted to chase after you but I held myself because I was scared if what I will do is right. Uhm Kevin talked to me, I was scared of him might threw punches at me but surprisingly he didn't. We sort everything out and that's why I'm here." Damian said and walked closer to me.

"I'm inlove with you Hailee, I couldn't tell you that time. I was dying to tell you but I...you were with Kevin. I'm sorry for being such a coward. I was just scared but then I realized I'm more scared of losing you and I don't want to let you go." Damian added and took my hand tears fell down my cheeks.

"Hailee Steinfeld, will you go out on a date with me?"
Damian asked looking right into my eyes. Tears kept falling down my cheeks and I nodded.

"Yes Damian, I'd love to." I said. He smiled and immediately hugged me and I hugged him back. We were in each others arms for a moment until we pulled away but he was still holding me. He was looking at my lips.

"Can I kiss you or should I wait on our date?" Damian asked.
"Just shut up and kiss me." I said and he slowly leaned into me and kissed my lips. I held onto his shoulder and kissed him back. It was soft and full of love. He held me closer to him and we deepened the kiss. We pulled out when air became the problem and our forheads touching. We both smiled into each other. I couldn't believe that this was happening.

Damian and I became officially together. It's been a year since we got together and it was hard for me everytime he flew a plane. I always call him if he landed safely. We have a healthy relationship, we got into arguments but we always make sure that none of us will be sleeping until we fix it. He met my parents and brother and they gladly accepted him.
He propsed to me on our 2nd year anniversary and I never hesitated to say yes to him. I love him more than anything.
