"What was it that King Edmund knew?" Opal asks. "Did he know how to defeat the scary creature?!"
"You're getting too far ahead again," Cassandra says. "If you want to hear this story, it has to be in order."
"I know..." Opal says. "I'm just so excited!"
"If you think that's exciting, wait until you hear about Arendelle!" Varian says. "It's a gorgeous kingdom, with surprises around every corner..."
Varian could never have imagined the fjord of Arendelle's beauty. The shimmering waters, the luscious grass and trees, the towering mountains... It is enough to rival Corona, itself.
What makes the scenery more beautiful is watching Cassandra gaze down at it. Her dark hair wafting in the wind. Her hazel eyes sparkling in the sunlight. And she is wearing the Cassandrium necklace. The necklace he made for her. He is aware that she wore it the day she left Corona, but the fact that she is wearing it now brings him more joy than she could ever know.
But why is she wearing it? Is it a sign? Nah, that couldn't be. His brain keeps trying to create proof that maybe, just maybe, she reciprocates his feelings. But he knows it can't be true... Why would anything have changed?
They land the balloon just past the docks. Cassandra immediately hops out, gesturing for the others to follow. "Come on, this way to the castle."
"The castle?" Hugo repeats with eager eyes.
"Do not get any ideas," Varian warns.
Hugo folds his arms behind his back. "I'll be the perfect gentleman."
"Why don't I believe you?" Abhu says, his eyes narrowing.
Varian shakes his head, and turns back to Cassandra. "I know you've been here before. But why do we need to go to the castle?"
"Queen Anna and her sister Elsa have experienced some pretty weird stuff around this kingdom," Cassandra explains. "If anyone here has heard of this orb, it's most likely them."
