A Cassarian Story
Varian always knew that he cared for Cassandra. But he didn't realize how much until she was gone.
Six long years after Cassandra leaves Corona, she finally returns. Varian is overjoyed, but she comes bearing terrible news. A stran...
"The cave's name was Infinity?" Opal scrunches her nose in thought. "But Daddy, you've talked about Infinity before."
"Yes I have," Varian says. "It is my theory that, somehow, your abilities came from It."
"So, do you think Infinity is somehow showing me things from the past?" Opal asks. She then gasps as a thought occurs to her. "Do you think I could see the future too, like Infinity? Do you think I could travel through time?!"
"Whoa, slow down!" Cassandra says, concern evident in her expression. "We aren't sure what you are capable of yet, but let's not rush into anything."
"Okay..." Opal sighs. "What happened next? Where did the portal take you?"
"To a familiar place," Varian replies. "But a few decades into the past..."
Falling out of the portal, Varian stands up and glances around. Where is he? It looks like he might be around the fjord of Arendelle, which makes sense as this is where Abhu is from. But his surroundings look slightly different than he remembers them being.
Oh yeah, he and Cassandra have been sent back in time.
Wait, Cassandra! Where is Cassandra?! She was right next to him when they were pushed through the portal!
He is about to panic, when he hears a yelp. Cassandra comes flying out of the portal, and collides with him. He falls flat on his back, with her landing directly on top of him. Their faces are inches apart.
"Hello there," Varian says with a flirtatious smirk. "I thought I lost you, for a second." He gives her nose a quick peck.

"Not a chance," she replies with a chuckle. She then stands, and helps him up. "Hey, where'd the portal go?"
Sure enough, the portal has vanished. "Maybe Infinity will bring it back when we're done?" Varian suggests.
"That's a pretty big maybe," Cassandra says. "But I guess we don't have a choice. Alright, mission analysis: Where are we?"
"It looks like we're in Arendelle, approximately thirty-four years ago," Varian says.
"Do you think Infinity dropped us in the same location Divya is supposed to be taken?" Cassandra asks.
"Hmm... I see the village nearby," Varian observes. "If a kidnapping occurred this close, there would most likely be witnesses."
"Okay, so if this isn't where Kaspar is going to wind up, then how do we find where we're supposed to go?" Cassandra says, already sounding frustrated.
"We'll figure something out," Varian reassures her. "I guess that's why Infinity sent us here a couple hours early. Let's take a walk around, and maybe something will come to us."
