"Everything sounds so magical!" Opal says, a starry look in her eyes. "I hope I can visit that hill in Arendelle someday!"

Cassandra smiles, laying her hand over Varian's. "It was definitely an incredible date I will never forget."

"And, as if it wasn't already amazing enough," Varian says, "a conversation we had ended up turning into an idea that helped us figure out what the orbs were for..."

Varian cannot accurately put into words how perfect today was. It was wonderful. Marvelous. Magical. Superb. Sublime. Fantastic. He could go on and on. But no matter how many adjectives he comes up with, they still are not enough.

He thought he had already fallen hard for Cassandra, but with every moment they share his feelings grow more intense. He is past the point of no return.

     He doesn't just love her.

     He can't live without her.

After one last kiss, the two of them head back down the hill—a much easier task than going up it.

"I've gotta say, I'm a little surprised you didn't pull some kind of alchemical stunt today," Cassandra says once they reach the bottom.

Varian smirks. "Give it a second." He points up, and fireworks shoot from the wisteria tree, lighting up the sky.

"Wha—" Cassandra is stunned. "Where did those...?"

Varian shrugs nonchalantly. "Eh, just some simple fireworks I attached to the tops of the wind chimes. Gale has a little friend, Bruni the fire spirit. I told her to have him light them as we left."

Cassandra shakes her head. "When you first asked me out, I almost expected you to do something over-the-top."

"Hey, I gotta save something for our second date," he jokes.

Cassandra lays her head against his arm as they walk. "I can't wait."

Simply the thought of her willingness to go out with him again brings him indescribable bliss. He never dared to dream that she would go out on one date with him, let alone two!

Together, they take a carriage back to the castle. The entire way, Cassandra remains silent. Varian hopes that maybe she is reliving their time together tonight in her mind's eye, like he is. But once they arrive at the castle and hop out of the carriage, he notices how concerned she looks. Her forehead is creased in concentration, like she is thinking deeply about something.
